Hey, guys, your favorite snowy owl, Alex! As you know, I once wrote a super hero story called Super Hero School, but I deleted it as I had no idea what to do with it.

But I'm a true fan (both of Marvel and DC, as well as independent heroes) and I couldn't stay away from the hero fandom for long. Therefore, I decided to created my own hero universe, like the MCU and DCEU, which I'm gonna call Univers 45 and we're gonna kick it off with my first story: Beetle Man!

Enjoy :)

Montreal, Quebec, Canada. 21 May 2018. 7:15 p.m.

"LET ME PASS!" Juice Roy shouted as he was driving his bicycle through the busy streets of town.

Another usual day in his life. The poor little Juice Roy was once again late for his work. He was a 19-year old guy with messy brown hair and eyes of the same color. His attire consisted of a red hoodie with a yellow beetle emblem as a design, with a dark blue body warmer over the top. He also wore blue rolled-up trousers, black and yellow fingerless gloves, as well as high top shoes which were blue, yellow and white.

After his big rush, he arrived at the restaurant where he worked, Kirby's Waffles, where they served the best waffles and pancakes in all the city. Roy has been working there for two years now and, even though it wasn't the best job in the world, it sure wasn't the worst.

He quickly parked his bicycle and locked it with chains before rushing inside and into the kitchen where his boss, Mr. Hughes, waited was checking on the work. "Sorry for being late, boss! My alarm broke off!" Roy quickly apologized.

"It's okay, Roy, you're just two minutes later. Now get to work," Mr. Hughes instructed and Roy immediately obeyed, getting to work in the kitchen.

While he's working and serving waffles to clients, I'm gonna tell you a little more about Juice Roy. First of all, you need to know his real name is actually Jessie, but he found that it sounded too much feminine. So, his friends decided to nickname him Juice, one day, when he accidentally dropped some apple juice over his clothes at school.

He was born and raised in Montreal by his two parents and lived in his own house. Two years ago, he was lucky enough to get a job at Kirby's Waffles simultaneously while going at high-school - he should go to CEGEP in one year or two. He wasn't the smartest or most popular at school, but he could live down with it.

A few hours later, as it was 15:30 a.m., Roy finished his working time and served one last set of waffles to an old couple (don't ask em why they eat waffles in the afternoon). "That was delicious," the woman complimented.

"Thanks, I'll let the chief cook know," Roy said with a smile. "Have a nice day," he said with walking away.

"Thanks, Roy," the old man returned.

With his day at work being done, Juice Roy took his bicycle and drove all the way back home. He parked his travelling tool in the garage before getting in his house where his parents were already eating in the dining room.

"Hey, Juice, you're back!" his dad, Dan Roy, greeted him. He was a 34-year old man with a black beard, hair, a muscled build, deep blue eyes, a blue shirt and jeans. "About time; diner's almost getting cold."

"Sorry," Juice Roy said with sitting down at table and looking at his meal. Tonight was a bowl of shrimps with pastas and vegetables. "I worked a bit longer to make up for my late arrival, this morning."

"You work too much, son," said Agatha, his mom. She was a 36-year old lady, but she looked like a pretty teenager. With her attractive figure that would catch any guy's eye and her cute dark hair tied in a ponytail, she was dressed in an orange top and jeans. "You shouldn't pay any prize for just two minutes late."

"At least I make more money that way," Juice Roy simply said with a chuckle.

Once dinner was done, Juice Roy made his homework before sitting down on the couch and watching TV. Tonight, he watched the new Scooby-Doo show. "This totally suck," he commented.

"Why do you watch it then?" his dad asked as he was sitting beside him.

"The next show, Bunnicula, is way better."

After some hours of watching TV, it was time for bed. Roy walked up to his room which was decorated with superhero and manga stuff, a computer, and a big bed. He slipped under his blankets and tried to relax before his day at school, tomorrow.

Later, as it was pass midnight, something gently slipped into Roy's room by the window which he left open to avoid letting the heat settle in. The little thing looked like a rhinoceros beetle with a dark blue exoskeleton and yellow eyes. He crawled on the edge of the window before taking a look around and spotting Roy sleeping.

"Oh, I found him! It has been two weeks now. I'm gonna go inside him," the little beetle said to himself before jumping down the window, crawl on the bed, slip underneath the blanket, and somehow entered Roy's body through his chest without leaving a hole. He groaned a bit in his sleep but didn't woke up.

Even later on, at around 3:50 p.m., Roy groaned as he felt a sudden rush of energy that pushed him out of his dreams. He hated when it happened. Turning on his back, he blinked a few times before opening his eyes...and seeing yellow?

"Huh?" Groaning, Roy stood up from his bed and blinked multiple times, thinking he had a view problem. Or did someone turned his room's lights in yellow as a joke? Nah; his parents were not jokers.

"What is going-" he started but interrupted himself as he looked at his hands...and saw that they were covered by a strange dark blue material. Like a body armor.

Totally confused about what was going on, Roy ran to the mirror on the wall of his room to get a look at himself...and almost passed out. He was wearing what looked like a rhinoceros beetle armor and was all dark blue with an horn on top of its head. There was two golden globes for his eyes and his mouth was the only part of his body left exposed.

...THUMP!

Unable to take on what was happening, Roy passed out and collapsed on his wooden floor, hoping to wake up the next day as if all this was just a bad dream.

Yeah, sorry, but I'm afraid it won't be the case, Roy :)
