Heran as fast as he could, knowing even as he saw her crumpled on the floor that it was too late and the love of his life was about to expire in front of him. His fingers clutched the edge of the rail that separated him from his love, the ligaments of his fingers pulled taunt and rigid across his flesh. Brown eyes squeezed shut and his mind reeled with thoughts of denial. Even with the real world erased from his sight, the image remained etched across his eye lids. He watched once again as his minds eye played the image over once more and he was forced to pull them open again.
The beak hell on the outside was none the merrier then the abyss that had swallowed his mind. He watched as his love faded from view, the sound of her scream echoing and ringing against his ear drums. A void spread out before him and he could feel the darkness swallow him. He tried to reach towards the red hair woman; however his fingers clawed at nothingness, darkness treading though his fingers. The multitude of amber lights that lay scattered across the horizon seemed to be snickering at his attempts and his arm was suddenly pulled from its position and his body was whirled around to face a dark shinned man whose name he couldn't remember.
He knew he knew the man. The glint in his eye was more familiar then the scars that ran across body. The man was screaming words that fell to deft ears, as Han's mind tried to remember the man before him. A hand suddenly slammed into this gut and the void that had been growing inside him snapped shut and his eyes closed to the sensation...
"Han!" Lando's voice held a string of tension as he looked at the face of his friend. He held Han's arms in one of his fists and the other was trying desperately to wake the man below him. Nothing seemed to get through no matter how hard the dark skinned man tried. Lando's forehead creased and his eyes brows came together in thick black line as his mind worked on a way to pull his friend out of whatever delusion that he had trapped himself in.
When nothing changed after multiple screams that made Lando's head spin, the man took the easy way out, and with a grunt he plunged his fist into the belly of his friend.
That seemed to do the trick and Han sat up so quickly that his forehead connected with Lando's with a dull thunk. A curse escaped the dark skinned man's mouth as he jumped back, fingers working the bruised flesh beneath them.
"What the hell were you dreaming about?" the words were gone form Lando's mouth before he could think a second time and instantly he was sorry for them. Han's face fell and the brown eyes that normally held determination, were glossed over and his mouth slack.
"Bria…" The name was spoken in a whisper and both men fell silent.
