This is just another plot bunny that I wanted to play with. I am curious what you guys think of it, considering this is the first time I've played with any seriously dark themes. Please review, constructive criticism really helps.

Disclaimer: I own nothing, to my constant sorrow.

Jennifer stalked Annalise slowly, a cold sneer marring the perfection of her features.

Annalise was crouched in the corner defensively, nursing a bruised, and likely fractured, wrist. Her eyes frantically darted around the room, seaching for any kind of protection.

The room was sparse, only a few boxes, a dilapidated and empty bookshelf and a cracked radio. The windows were barred and Jennifer was between her and the door.

"You just couldn't resist could you?" The striking blonde mocked, every syllable laced with venom.

As Annalise glanced at the metal bat in the hands of her stepsister, thunder crashed loudly, the vibrations causing a door to slam shut somewhere in the empty house.

In a flash, Jennifer had a hand gripped painfully in Annalise's dark hair, forcing her against the wall,

"Answer me!" She hissed. Annalise fumbled over her words, which only seemed to further enrage the older woman, who slapped her.

"I-I had n-no-thing to d-do with i-it!" She protested, utterly terrified, "I-I would-d ne-ver-!"

"Bull!" Jennifer snarled, this time punching her in the collarbone, "You seduced him you little whore!" She accentuated the insult with another blow, splitting the girl's lip, "Always coming on to him when you thought I wasn't looking, weren't you, you ugly little freak?" Jennifer threw Annalise down, and began pacing again, tapping the bat thoughtfully.

"You haven't been quite as careful as you thought sis," The blonde's pale green eyes glittered viciously, "I can't tell you how often I saw him, his eyes following you across the room, looking at you like you were something to eat." She laughed harshly and swung the bat into her sister's stomach, causing an audible, 'Thunk'.

Annalise bit back a groan.

"Then," Her voice became somewhat hysterical, "you had the balls to corner him at my engagement party, trying to throw yourself at him! You really think he wouldn't tell me? Really bitch?"

Annalise's head swam with the intensity of the blows raining down upon her, anywhere Jennifer could get a hit.

"I'll fix you." Jennifer muttered wildly. Annalise peered up through her less swollen eye to see her stepsister's face take an almost demonic cast to it, lit up by the lightening coursing through the sky.

Jennifer laughed falsely, "How about I borrow from one of your precious fairytales you simple child."

Annalise just wished it would end quickly.

Jennifer lifted the bat over her head and yelled, "I wish the goblin's would come and take you away, right now!" while bringing the bat down on her skull.

Annalise felt light as the darkness danced across her vision, almost weightless. As she gratefully succumbed to unconsciousness, the last thing she was aware of was an odd giggle, malicious and childlike, followed by the distant sound of her stepsister's shrill cries…
