One night, Hershel decided to take Emmy for a walk, to try and ask a question he'd been wanting to ask for weeks.

He wanted to ask her to marry him.

"So, Emmy, we've been together for some time now.." Hershel began.

Emmy looked at him, slightly confused.

"Yes, we have.." Emmy said.

Hershel took her hand in his, and squeezed it gently.

"There's something I've been wanting to ask you, my dear." Hershel said, letting go of her hand, and reaching into his pocket.

Emmy's eyes got wide.

Hershel pulled out a little black box, and got down on one knee infront of her.

"Emmy Altava, would you do me the honor of becoming my wife?" Hershel asked, choking on his words slightly.

Emmy stood there for a moment, shocked.

"Yes! Yes I will!" Emmy shouted.

Hershel stood up, and slid the ring on her finger.

"You don't know how happy you've made me." He said, picking her up bridal style, and spinning her around.

Emmy laughed, and put her arms around his neck.

"And you don't know how happy you've made me." Emmy said softly.

Hershel smiled, and kissed her.

After a moment, her sat her back down on her feet, and took her hand.

"Shall we go tell the kids?" Hershel asked, chuckling slightly.

Emmy smiled and nodded. "I think they'll be quite pleased to hear the news."

And with that, the two set off towards Hershel's place, ready to start a life together.
