Riku sat silently in a graveyard, children running about screaming and laughing dressed in strange outfits, not caring that an un-costumed teenager was crying at a certain gravestone.
Riku smiled when a young boy ran by with a simple costume made of a sheet with eye holes.
Flashback
Sora giggled as he ran quickly down the street to an expertly decorated mansion with a large sign reading 'HAUNTED HOUSE' on the front. People gathered around the door wanting to see the creepy inside of the 'haunted house'.
Riku stood near the entrance smiling as Sora quickly ran up, ready to jump into his arms. When he did, they both tumbled down.
"Wow Sora, how creative" Riku said, referring to Sora's home-made costume which consisted of a sheet with two holes cut out for eyes.
"By day I'm a ghost, but by night," Sora pulled off the sheet to reveal as little clothing, all black, and mostly leather, covering little of his body. "I'm a sexy man."
"You got that covered during day time, too."
"Shut up" Sora stuck out his tongue at his silver-haired boyfriend. "Like your's is much better." Riku play-punched Sora. He liked his costume. It consisted of a tuxedo, long cape, a top hat, and of course, fangs.
"Mine is awesome. So who picked out your outfit anyways." Riku said. "I seriously can't see you being that… creative?" He rolled his eyes as he used the word for the second time.
"Kairi. I swear she's still trying to get into my pants."
"As always…"
End Flashback
Riku instantly got mad at the memory of Kairi continuously trying to take Sora from him. And ever since the accident, she's only talked to Riku to blame him for the whole thing. But Sora always stuck around with her.
Flashback
"Eh, leave it Riku. Once she stops being a dumb ass she's great to be with."
"Yeah okay. Hey were going in next, ready Sora?" Riku pointed to the door in front of him.
"Yea I guess so."
End Flashback
Riku smiled slightly for the second time as he remembered the incidents at the haunted house. The only reason he himself had fun was because sora stuck with him and didn't run off as usual. Other then that, it was boring.
Flashback
"Hey, you didn't seem like you had much fun. Why?"
Riku shrugged. "I guess Halloween just isn't my day for fun."
Sora grinned as he stood up, loads of candy hanging off his arm stuffed in a bag.
"Lets get going back to your place." He said, running across the street. Riku followed close behind, a weird feeling in his stomach.
When they got close to Riku's house, Sora began to get excited over the fact of eating all his candy.
"Hey, Sora, watch where you're going. You're going to get hit."
Sora ran out from the middle of the street smiling. They walked the rest of the way to Riku's house and walked up to the door. Riku grinned as Sora ran off to look at something that sparked his interest.
He was just about to yell at Sora to come back when he heard a car speed by and turn the corner, screeching to a halt. And when Sora screamed, Riku ran as fast as he could toward where Sora was currently lying on the ground, candy everywhere.
End Flashback
Riku sighed and got up, heading home. On the way there he saw kids screaming for more candy, adults chasing them, and Kairi giving him evil looks.
He walked inside and sprawled across his bed, bursting out into tears, whispering,
"Sorry Sora, Halloween just isn't my day for fun."
