Ross tried to go to sleep. However, much to his frustration, sleep refused to come. He started to reflect about past 5 years he spent in marriage with Rachel, replaying in his head most memorable events they had. So many times they fought, so many times he could easily lose her, and so many times he realized he cannot let it happen. Even though they had a lot of issues as a couple, she definitely was "his lobster". His face lit up with a nostalgic smile when he remembered that day when Phoebe told him "the lobster theory". She was always full of ridiculous facts and stories… "And as for lobsters," - a tiny voice spoke to himself, - "don't mean to disappoint Phoebe's believes, but they practice a much-less-than-monogamous mating ritual wherein females take turns with the local population's dominant male, trying to gain as much genetic material from the stud lobster as they can." Meticulous to the bone – it's all about him. It irritates Rachel the most. His annoying habit of correcting people's grammar or pestering to them with boring encyclopedic quotes if they don't conform to his point-of-view. But, nevertheless, she still loves him. She gave up a dream-job in Paris and fancy life to be here, next to him. Ross, in his turn, never stopped loving her ever since high school…The unfiltered and nonstop train of thoughts in his head had lost any order, he glanced at the clock, that showed a little past midnight, and he finally started to fall asleep.
