Draconian Might

The Draconian species has been at peace for 2000 years. now some unknown sentient machines are attacking and abducting them to create mutated beasts to help them with there extermination. Will they survive this threat? Or will they survive just to die by the hands of several other alien species?

I don't own Mass Effect but I do own Drakoon and the Drakan along with any characters I make, if there's any resemblance to an already existing name or person, then it's purely coincidence there. Enough talking now, it's time to start the story.

"Automatic Travel Log 1 of 3."

"What do you think is going on up there Drakoon?" said a minor Drakan warrior.

"I don't know, but it's best to stay out of the marine troop's way. If we go up we'll just get in the way of the pilots, and I don't particularly want to go for a swim in space." Drakoon said with some humor in his voice. The troop normally don't laugh but there leader knew they thought he was funny.

They were, no are,the strongest combat team in the Drakan military, even though the military don't go to war or fought much for the last 2000 years of peace in the draconian race. War is not a large part of the draconian race's instincts, survival is. But some sort of strange machines are attacking and abducting draconian citizens and mutating them into monsters. Were the last lines of defense until the escape ships are safe and out of any nearby danger still out there.

The machines themselves seem sentient instead of being driven like the mechs the engineers use for their work. They can see or sense when a possible threat has arrived and which threat is worst.

"Destination under attack. All Drakan warriors and marines prepare for combat." said the AI dubbed Silstra.

"Alright, everyone get those weapons ready. We have to keep this position no matter what until the leviathan gets to safety" Said Drakoon "and don't forget to shoot down those giant bugs and monster leaders first, leave those giants for the snipers."

Alright, this is my first mass effect fanfiction, so any reviews would be very helpful and ideas would be extremely helpful. The next chapter will show them in space protecting the leviathan.
