Taiga looks down, cheeks flaming red by the sudden confession from Ryuuji. She clenches her fists into tight balls as Ryuuji peers at her curiously. "Tai-?" She hits his chin with her head, in a sort of a head butt.
"Why would you say something so embarrassing like that? You could've waited for a better mood or something!"
Ryuuji scratches his head and rubs his jaw, grinning sheepishly at Taiga's blushing face. "Ehh… I just couldn't wait! Besides, it's the whole truth."
Taiga looks down again, her body trembling from her boiling up for some reason. "Ryuuji!" She tackles him into a hug, wraps her arms tightly around his neck and repeatedly says, "Ryuuji! Ryuuji! Ryuuji!"
Ryuuji smiles warmly in relief behind her back, his arms locking her in a gentle embrace. "Mm?"
Taiga is hesitant; she lets go of his neck slowly and buries her head into his chest. "I love you, too," she states softly.
Ryuuji looks at her confusedly, having not heard what she said because her words were muffled. "Sorry? I didn't catch that."
"I said, I love you too, you mongrel of a dog!" Taiga screams, turning away from embarrassment with a huff.
And so it was during that warm summer day that tiger and dragon were reunited, their promises of never leaving each other sealed, and will always be kept between them.
"Since ancient times, the tiger has been the only beast to equal the dragon..."
Author's Note: Kyaaaa~ My first attempt for a fanfic in a different fandom. Sorry if that was quite a lame-o, but I have been trying to write again ever since my hiatus. This is from the last episode of Toradora; I just wanted to add in a little more details. =) Seriously, I'm not satisfied with this.
Please review so that I can improve my writing; it's been a long time since I've received criticisms and I miss them. XD
