It started normally. Until of course we go to Sam's Club and buy an unreasonably large amount of food with a wolf boy and 15 year old bird mutant girl there.

"Uhmm…. I need 8 turkeys," I explained to the poultry cook, "There are only 4."

"You feeding your familt tree or something? It'll be an hour and a half until there'll be enough."

"Oh, Okay… Save 8. I'll be here then."

Ari and I left, going to pick up the cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, pumpkin pie, and instant stuffing. I wasn't letting anyone set the temporary house on fire on vaca. Yeah, we're actually in Michigan renting a home for the holidays. You got it, we can actually afford that.

"Your total is $196.85. Cash or Credit?" asked the cashier.

"196-" I began.

"Credit," replied Ari, flipping a credit card out of his pocket.

With a quick swipe she scanned Ari's card and we left with 12 bags full of food.

"Ari, you're 7. How do you have a credit card?" I asked.

"Soon to be 8 thank you very much and I have my ways," Ari replied smugly. Oh great. Stolen credit card property of: Ari.

We flew home easily, but Ari still flies like a brick. Then, adding 5 turkeys onto that didn't help any. Looking over the roof tops we spotted our cream coloured house with a rustic red roof. Of course the door was open and Iggy and Fang were on the couch while Gazzy, Angel, and Nudge were on the ground playing with the Legos they found and Total sleeping on a separate chair to the edge.

"Turkey's on!" I shouted.

"Sweet!" Said Nudge.

"Oh yeah!" Gazzy fist pumped.

"We all sat at the table looking at the food in front of out faces. Iggy was about to shove his face with food when Angle stopped him.

"Wait, shouldn't we all at least know why everyone has the day off?" we all stared at each other blankly until finally I said,

"Okay, Angle. Do you know why?"

"Yes, I do. The pilgrims came here to settle and found Indians. The Indians showed them how to live in the weather we have here. And the first really cold day, they celebrated moving in with a giant feast.

"And that's how it started. And now, we are thankful for everything we have. We should each say something we're thankful for. I'll start. I'm thankful for… All this food. And the whole family here. Iggy, Max, Fang, Gazzy, Nudge, Ella, , Ella, Total, Ari, and me. Max?"

"Uhmmm…. I guess meeting and Ella. And all of us safe. Iggy your next. We'll go around the table.

" The food. And family."

Next Fang.

"Family."

Very out there Fang. I would of never guessed that.

Then Nudge

"The food. The family. And Defiantly you Max!"

Gazzy

" The food."

Of course that's totally Gazzy.

Ella next.

" Meeting you Max. You're like the sister I never had. I love you."

"Aw…. Thanks Ella," I said sheepishly, feeling my face turn red.

Dr. Martinez.

"same as Ella. And you even thinking of paying for Thanksgiving dinner for us. Thank you so much."

Last Ari. Total was to stuffed up to talk.

" Getting Jeb out of the way and finding who's my real family."

Typical. Without further ado we ate.

Yep that as the best Thanksgiving ever. Sleep after some Pumpkin pie and not getting up until 8 the next day. But then again, it's my first. ;)
