Prologue
I opened my eyes to something unfamiliar. But I didn't open them to the world—no, this was something different; I opened them to something that should remain unseen, something that wasn't there, yet open they did and see I did.
There was a boy…no, he was a man…walking into a diner, sparse in that time between breakfast and lunch, awaiting a real crowd, while its current occupants were chatting, sipping coffee.
The man walked with a defined grace, shaking damp, blonde hair out of his eyes.
The next image was of a family—I supposed that was the best way to describe them. They looked the exactly the same, but at the same time were absolutely different.
There were three men and two women, all pale to the point of corpses, all golden-eyed, and all beautiful; while one of the women was soft and caramel-haired, the other was tall, striking, and blonde. None of the men looked related either—one being fair-haired, another with dark curls, and the last with hair of untidy bronze—yet, again, there was that eerie similarity. But they were a family. I knew that. There was no dispute over it.
And somehow I knew that this was where my future was leading me.
I didn't know how I was going to get there or why, but something would lead me to the man in the diner and then to the family that wasn't a family.
This is just the Prologue- Chapter 1 on its way! Please review!!!
