I blame my new obsession of Yu-Gi-Oh on my friend Lora. If this is different from canon it's because I've only seen up to season 5 in the anime (US) so this will be in that verse. If it has mistakes please tell me! this has slight YxYY ness but dependess on how you look at it. and Yu-Gi-Oh truly doesn't belong to me.

Belief

There is a time early each morning that, in-between being fully awake and fully asleep, that Yugi doesn't remember. But that can't last and then it rushes back like a Tsunami after an earth quake. An after effect that kills just as much as what started it; Yami is gone.

The link is still there, thin and drawn out, but there. Yugi can still enter Yami's room in their soul but Yami is never there. But Yugi knows that Yami has to be there, so Yugi keeps thinking, sending, ideas and thoughts thru the link because he has to believe.

Believe that Yami isn't gone.
