This focuses on a line that really clicked with me in today's episode, you can probably guess which one.
"People are just for a lifetime. History is forever."
They would only live once.
Every rescue posed a threat to that life, to their existence and opened the gap of "what would we do?"
They were a small existence, a large part of the world, but a small piece of it.
They would only live once, and they would be forgotten.
International Rescue would be historical.
It would be remembered long after they were gone, long after they had been forgotten, for they were never really known.
International Rescue was all they were to the world. They weren't the Tracy brothers, they weren't anyone other than an outfit, an organisation who strove to give people a lifetime to live.
Whose intention was to save and rescue, to preserve and keep exactly that, not to take it or let it be lost.
They lived with each other, they lived for each other, they lived because of each other.
With their father gone, each other was all they had.
They looked out for one another, they sought to keep each other safe and fix their problems.
They had to, because they no longer had parents to do so.
They had to, because they were brothers.
They had already lost their mother, now they'd lost their father and they would be damned to lose a brother: to lose each other.
They'd already lost too much to lose any more.
International Rescue would be historical to the world yes, but they would be historical to each other just as Jeff Tracy was for them. Their Patriarch could be no greater influence, no better role model and no more wonderful a father to any of them. He was surpassed by none; he was remembered by them.
They would be each others history, each others lifetime.
"People are for a lifetime," - make the most of it.
I hope you liked it and the style, because I know it won't suit everyone.
Thanks for all the reviews on my works and the alerts/favourites on both my stories and myself as an author, it really does mean a lot to me!
P.S. If anyone had a request feel free to ask and I'll write it for you with a dedication. x
