The Disappearance of John Smith
Disclaimer: I don't own any elements or characters from Haruhi Suzumiya series.
He gave back the application form and did very little more before he pressed the button the computer. Haruhi looked on in wonder while the others looked on with a sense of confusion. No one in the room knew what to expect or even if they should expect anything to happen at all.
They were astounded when a flash of light engulfed Kyon or as Haruhi called him John. When the light died down he was gone and so was the old computer. There was a moment of silence when no one spoke for what was there to say
The silence was finally broken when Mikuru Asahina asked, "W-what h-happened?"
"I don't know." Itsuki Koizumi replied but continued to smile.
He was amazed and the tiniest bit relieved. He knew Haruhi's interest in him was waning so he was a little glad that John Smith wasn't around to speed up the process.
"You idiot!" Haruhi yelled at the top of her lungs, her anger dripping off each and every syllable. "You were suppose to take me with you this time! You weren't suppose to leave me!" She continued to scream as her fist began to shake clenched so tight they turned white.
Through all her yelling and her anger a few small tears found their way out of her eyes.
Then it was like she couldn't yell anymore so she just gave a soft almost whimper, "John come back. You were suppose to take me with you. You can't just leave me again."
There was a banging on the door not that Haruhi noticed. Mikuru opened the door after unlocking it.
The green haired Tsuruya opened it wide, "Mikuru!" She quickly hugged her friend. "I came back to the Calligraphy club and you were gone. I thought that creep who tired tried to look at your chest took you."
"..." Mikuru Asahina just started back at her unsure of what to say.
Haruhi wiped away her tear and as she did she noticed the quiet bookworm. She was just as stunned as Haruhi and and her eyes were filled with tears before he even pressed the button.
Yuki Nagato dried her tear and turned towards the window. She looked up into the sky.
Haruhi moved over to her, "You knew him?"
Yuki only nodded.
Haruhi wasn't good with people so she didn't know what to tell her, all she knew was this strange quiet girl seemed to miss John as much as she did.
"Things are going to change." Yuki spoke up.
"What?"
"I don't know. I just know that things are about to change. Don't you feel it?"
Haruhi stopped and let the moment sink in, deep in her gut she agreed with her. Yuki turned around and she was still crying. Haruhi suddenly hugged her. The little bookworm was a little stunned by the sudden reaction but she hugged her back. Neither understood why they were the only ones that felt things were about to change or even questioned why thing were about to changed they just knew they both missed Kyon.
Thing would indeed change soon, in moments the world would change. In moments Kyon would be lying in a bed in a coma with Haruhi waiting by his side for him to wake up with Yuki waiting nearby for him and judgement from her superiors. In a moment the world would change because of him. In moments they both would change too. In either reality they would change because of him. They would now just have to wait.
Authors Notes: Okay, so I just thought of making this short one shot about what happened right after Kyon pressed that button on Nagato's computer that sent him back in time Make of it what you will this is what I thought happened. Leave me a review if you liked it. I just thought i'd post it since today was the day that Haruhi vanished.
