Edward and Al had both gotten back form exploring the lands around Amestris. They were both tired, and all they wanted was to go to their homes and sleep... for a very long time.
"God Al I m so tired!" Edward said, for probably the 20 time since they had gotten off the train.
Alphonse Just nodded in response, seeing as he was already half asleep.
They were both so tired that they didn t notice the body in the road till Edward went face down into the dirt. Sitting up and clutching him bloody nose he kick at the thing, until Alphonse put his arm on his brother s shoulder.
"Brother stop! Look it s a human!"
"Hu? Wha... OH MY GOD IT'S A PERSON!"
Still clutching his bloody nose he stood up and poked it with his foot. Getting a grumble back in response, he looked at Al. "What should we do with it?" he asked.
"We should probably bring her to Winry brother."
"Oh fine... hey you are you awake can you walk." He shouted down at the person curled up in the road. All he got in response was a yawn grumble that sounded very much like a 'No, dumbass'.
Handing all the bags Edward picked up the very asleep and limp body. Hanging her over his shoulder he tool one of the bags from Alphonse. "You ready Al"
"Yes brother, but be careful not to drop her."
"I m NOT GONNA DROP HER! WHAT DO I LOOK LIKE A WEAKLING?"
"That s not what I meant brother..." Al said, shaking his head in defeat. "How do you think she got here?" He asked after they had been walking for a few minutes and the Rockbell's house was coming into view.
"I have no idea Al; we'll ask if when she wakes up."
They walked for a few more minutes in silence till they got to the found door and rang the door bell. Edward had not told Winry when he was coming back, so he was going to surprise her. Winry had know Alphonse would be coming back soon because Mai had gone out ahead of Al, and was waiting for him at the house.
It only took a moment for the door to be open. It was neither Winry nor Mai, it was Pinako.
"You still don t call before you come back do you," She said looking at him with a blank look.
"It was supposed to be a surprise. But anyway I brought you something, or really someone." Ed said, scooting past her into the house will Al. Getting Al's help he lowered the girl onto the couch. Looking he saw Pinakos eyes almost jump out of her head. "Why is there a girl covered in mud on my couch?" She squawked at him.
"Because I found her in the middle of the road and though it rude to just lever her there, so I brought her to you."
"You do know she is not a lost kitten don t you Ed."
"Yes I do, and that s Al who brings the kittens home not me!" Ed retorted, and received a whack to the back of the head from Al. Pinako was about to say something before she could though there was a grumble from the pile of mud on the couch.
The party turned back to look at the couch and stare at the girl. She didn t look in to bad shape, but she was definitely in need of a bath and to get some of the more noticeable cuts you could see on her face. The doctorly side oh Winry took command. Hey there, are you ok? Doe anything hurt? Where did you come from? Can you sit up?
I think so. Was the only answer to the multiple questions the girl was asked.
