"That movie was shit" Matt sighed flopping onto the sofa. He picked his DS up off the coffee table and opened it, soon the light from the screen flashed on his face and reflected off his goggles. Mello sat next to the man he thought of all the time. " I'm hungry" he whined,
"Well get off your boney white butt, and get your chocolate out of the cupboard yourself" Matt said monotone, paying more attention to his game. Mello sighed, "Fine" Why did Matt treat him like a baby? He stood and walked to the kitchen, "You know, ever since we left Wammy's and we moved in together, you've gone from my best friend to my best friend who I really want to strangle" Mello said grabbing the chocolate from the cupboard and then walking behind the sofa. This was a lie, Mello cared too much for Matt to hurt him "Boo hoo, cry me a river" Matt said sarcastically not taking his eyes off the DS. Mello had a thought, he'd been waiting so long… why not now? He opened his chocolate and sat on the back of the sofa, he let himself fall so he was looking up at Matt, his legs hanging over the back. Matt glanced down, "Hey" Mello smiled; Matt rolled his eyes and went back to his game. Mello pouted and prodded the side of Matt's thigh playfully. "What? What could you possibly want now?" Matt asked snapping the DS shut, he looked down at the blonde angrily. "Nothing, it's just, you're the best roommate ever" Mello chuckled, Matt glared at him, "What? Seconds ago you we're calling me 'the best friend you want to strangle'" he said looking at Mello's finger that had prodded him. "Yeah, well you're…" Mello paused, he looked into Matt's eyes, and found himself putting his hand back on Matt's leg, Matt's eyes widened slightly, he gazed down at Mello's hand, "What are you…" Mello started to rub Matt's leg, getting closer inwards. Mello swung his legs off the back of the sofa and sat up straight. "You have pretty eyes" he murmured staring into Matt forest green eyes. His hand went to Matt's cheek and he pulled himself closer to inspect his irises, "Yeah, really pretty" Mello whispered. Matt dropped his DS onto his lap, Mello looked at Matt's soft lips and smiled weakly. He then noticed Matt putting his hand on his waist, and his other to his head. Mello's arms moved to Matt's shoulders, he edged closer, "Matt I…" Mello paused and gently kissed Matt, "Love you" he smiled, and Matt chuckled, he pulled Mello closer, back into a kiss. It lasted a lot longer than the last, and Matt enjoyed the sweet taste of chocolate on his lover's lips. All Mello could taste was stale smoke, but he was kissing Matt, that didn't matter! Plus his soft lips made up for the taste, Mello's lips were chapped and roughed, but Matt smiled when they stopped. "Mello" he laughed, "I love you too" he smiled. Mello was overjoyed and he hugged Matt fiercely, Matt hugged back, his arms were strong and they held Mello close, Matt was so warm and Mello enjoyed listening to his heart beat.
