Warning: Slight real name spoiler for Matt; foul language; and, of course, yaoi or shounen-ai or whatever you want to call it. Don't like it, don't read it.

A/N: This is just a little one-shot (takes place at Whammy's House), although I am contemplating continuing it, just because. Death Note is not mine, nor are Matt and Mello. Sadly.

The redhead sat on his bed, thumbs tapping away at his video game. He'd gotten a new one recently and still hadn't beaten it.

The blonde he shared his room with yanked open a dresser drawer and began to paw through Matt's clothes. Matt simply looked on with an amused smirk playing across his features.

"Alright! JEEVAS! Where is it?" the temperamental blonde shouted.

"I don't know what you're talking about, Mello."

"Don't give me that shit Matt! You stole my chocolate and we both know it!" Mello raged.

Matt just smirked. Mello mumbled random profanities as he searched the room for his chocolate, the only clear phrases Matt heard were, "dammit to hell," and "can't find my fuckin' chocolate." Everything in between was unintelligible gibberish.

Clothes were tossed against walls and into corners and random items were picked up and slammed back down again. Mello's chocolate didn't seem to be anywhere. He let out a growl so loud that it echoed throughout the quiet room, the reverberations making it sound purely demonic. Matt half expected the boy to climb up a wall, hang from the ceiling and spin his head around.

In order to avoid this, after Mello turned away, the redhead pulled a chocolate bar from his back pocket. "Hey Mels, look!" Mello turned around as fast as he could.

"My chocolate! You son of a" Mello yelled when he saw what Matt was holding. Suddenly, he narrowed his eyes, and lunged. He landed on top of Matt, pushing him back onto the bed. Matt jerked the chocolate away just in time to keep it from Mello's clutches.

"Ah ah ah! Not yet!" Matt said teasingly. He hid the chocolate, though God knows where, Mello thought. One hand was still occupied with his game, and he was pressed against the headboard and into the mattress. Mello had a plan.

The blonde leaned forward a bit more and brushed his lips against Matt's. He threaded his fingers through the soft, auburn locks and sighed.

Matt was taken by surprise, but there was no way he was going to pass up an opportunity like this. He placed his game on the bedside table and put both hands on Mello's hips. He kissed him back slowly, hesitantly, but the intensity of the kiss built rapidly. Mello slid his tongue into the other boy's mouth and began to explore.

Mmmmm…. Chocolate, Matt thought dazedly. He tastes like chocolate. He began to relax even more into Mello's kiss. He could feel the blonde boy grinding into him, and his own arousal was growing.

Mello worked his hand into Matt's back pocket and felt his chocolate bars. Ha-ha! Sweet, sweet victory! He slowly slid the sweets out of his friend's pocket. Of course, Matt was busy yanking on Mello's hair and whispering in his ear, so he didn't notice.

Mello broke the kiss and slid off the bed, leaving Matt alone and feeling rejected.

"Awww c'mon, Mels…" he whined.

Mello responded by holding up the chocolate bars and grinning.

Matt was astonished. How had Mello managed that? Oh, wait… He pouted. "Not fair, Mello!"

"Oh, really? I had a problem and I solved it."

"A problem? What problem?" Mello scoffed. "Well go on, explain! What problem?"

"Impatient, are we Mattie? he grinned. "You had something I wanted, and now I've got it. The ends justify the means." And with that he left the room, munching on a (slightly warm) chocolate bar.

And leaving Matt with a problem of his own . . .
