"We are not going to get a puppy Chlo!" Beca huffed
"Why not?!" Chloe pouted, staring at her girlfriend from across the room.
"Because, they're loud, they're messy and clingy" Beca defended.
"I'm loud and clingy!" Chloe shot back, folding her arms across her chest.
"But you're adorableā¦" Beca replied
"And puppies aren't?!" Chloe asked, eyes wide with shock.
"I'm sure they are, I just don't want a puppy" Beca shrugged her shoulders. Chloe pouted and crossed the room, taking a seat In Beca's lap.
"Come on Bec, we've had this place for nearly a year now, It's not a home without a pet!" Chloe sighed
"And a goldfish wouldn't suffice because" Beca shot Chloe her signature smirk
"You know what I mean." Chloe huffed as she slapped Beca in her arm
"You really want a puppy don't you?" Beca sighed. Chloe nodded in response. They fell into silence. Chloe decided to nuzzle into Beca's neck, hoping that somehow she could convince the younger girl.
"If I let you get a puppy. You need to promise that you'll walk him or her everyday. And you'll be responsible for training it." Beca finally spoke.
It took Chloe a moment to register what her girlfriend had said before she squealed in delight and wrapped her arms around Beca's neck, planting kiss after kiss on the girl.
"Oh my god I can train her in a cartoon voice!" Chloe laughed excitedly
"No!" Beca spoke sternly, "You'll mess it up."
"Aw.." Chloe sighed
"Sorry babe, I just don't want you to make a puppy insecure because you're mocking it with a cartoon voice." Beca chuckled ruffling Chloe's hair.
"Can we look tomorrow?" Chloe asked, gently pushing Beca down so the smaller girl was lying on the sofa with Chloe straddling her.
"Sure." Beca replied quietly
"I can't think of a way to thank you." Chloe grinned.
Beca just smirked mischievously and leant forward so she could cup the back of Chloe's head and pulled her in for a kiss.
"I can think of a way." Beca whispered against Chloe's lips.
