Haruno Sakura was a victim of bully when she was five. They teased her, picked on her, bullied her for a reason only god knows. But little Sakura assumed that it was probably because of her weird eye-soring pink hair and huuuuge forehead.
At school, Sakura was isolated by both the girls and boys in her class. They will either ignored her and acted like she was invisible or picked on her and cover her with fresh grazes and bruises. Simply, she had a very rough time during her childhood. She had no friends to talk to and everyone around her treats her like she was some kind of disease. That really pained the five year old child. However, she never cried and face her fated life with much smiles and positiveness.
Through that, she gained a beautiful purple headed girl friend. She was one of the beautiful and smartest girl in school! They synced with each other and immediately after became the best of friends. However, because of some misunderstanding, her only friend distanced herself from her. The fact saddened the little pinkette.
Little Sakura tried hard to convince her friend that it was all just some misunderstandings but the only thing she get was harsh comments and the cold shoulder from her. She was hurt that her best friend doubted and betrayed her but at the same time, she didn't want to lose a kind friend like her who she had come to care for. She was her first true friend, the only friend she had, and she lost her because of some silly misunderstanding.
Sakura get to taste the pain of betrayal, something that was foreign to her up till now. It hurt so much than the beatings and harsh insults that were thrown to her by her bullies. She was suffocating and it was hard to even stand up when her only friend turned her back to her. She was in the brink of downfall. She was on the verge of being swallowed up by eternal darkness.
Miraculously, little Sakura saved herself from falling into the lonesome pit of darkness. She dependently picked her pitiful self up and steadily adjust herself with the change- which is the absence of her brown eyed friend in her daily life. She snapped out from her depression and return back to her old cheery self. The beatings still went on but she will never stop her smiles.
She had made up her mind. She will become strong! She will continue her life with high determination!
With a new set of determination, she embraced her thorn-filled life with unwavering smiles and confidence. Sakura learned to appreciate the little things in life as such the beautiful nature and the kindness and love that was showered to her by her parents.
Slowly, she began to notice the little things that she never took heed of.
Like how her mother would brightened up when she saw her, or how dazzling the smile that his father gave her went she waited for him at the car porch. How tired her mother look like when she get home and how her father sighed when he held the papers between his hand. And also how proud and happy they look when they saw her triple A test paper. Also how worried they were when they discovered new bruises on her... Then it finally came down to her. Really knocked some sense in her.
When she was having a hard time, her mother would brew her some tea to calm her down. When she was hurt, her father would tell her amazing stories before she went to bed.
How would she have forgotten something so important?
She was not alone... No, she never was... All this time, her parents were always by her. They stood by her.
Eventually, her parents became the center of her life. They became her most important asset to bring large smiles on her face. They became her only reason for her to live a successful life. She was content with her life, as long as she had her family. Even if she was isolated by her school mates, the whole world in fact, as long as her parents is by her side, she was happy.
But then, everything changed..
The company her father worked at went bankrupt and her father was to blame for the cause of the bankruptcy. He was accused of stealing the money that was supposed to be transferred to the client's account. What's more, all the evidence was pointing to him. For days, her father suffered from humiliation and in a blink of an eye, became the outcast of the society. The neighbors distanced themselves from him and treated him harshly like a "criminal" he is. Because of it, not only does her father had to bear a lot of debt on his shoulders, he even had to deal with the harsh accusation that was thrown to him when clearly he was not at fault. Frustrated, he drank every night and vented his anger on little Sakura. She, just a helpless 6 year old, too young to comprehend the situation was innocently thrown into the picture.
And this was the start of her wrecked up life.
She became a punching bag for her father, a doll for her father to let his anger out. Every day, every night, her father would beat her up. Bruises, cuts, grazes. All of them covered her body. But still, she never shed even one single tear. She never cried and kept on smiling. That's because light still shone upon her. Hope still clung onto her.
Her mother, her beloved head strong mother would always try her best to pry her husband from hitting her only child. Her mother remained by her side, loving her, caring her and protected her from her father's merciless beatings. Her mother showered her with care and love, twice as much than before, making up for her loss of a father's love and care. Because of that, she came to love her mother more and more than before.
Her mother became her only reason, her sole hope to live and to breath.
But then, the light faded and her hope vanished. It was as if the universe and the whole world turned their backs to her.
She learned what reality actually is and felt like. Her mother was fired for her constant clumsiness and tardiness at work. But instead of moving forward, her mother continued to dwell in the past. It was then Sakura noticed the red gashes on her mother's arms. Sakura eventually noticed the bruises and burn marks on her mother. She put piece and piece together.
How could she have be so oblivious?
Her father beats her mother as much as he beats her. How could she not notice her mother in pain? But it's too late to regret. She can't turn back the time.
Eventually, as easy as that, her mother too, lost to the game of life. Like husband, like wife, she did the same thing to her. The once caring mother has gone.
The years goes on as were the tortures. They learned to hate her, detest her, despised her. She learned to survive, to live, to die and to live once more, only to suffer. They destroyed her.
They broke her.
The same amazing parents that she was so proud of. The same understanding parents that was always there for her. The same kind parents that kept her smiles on her face. The same respectful parents that she looked up to. The same blood-related parents, the same people that friggin' destroyed her.
She lost all sense of direction. She lost all common sense. She lost it. No more smiles decorated her face. No more happiness shone in her green eyes. She was left with nothing. She was just and empty shell.
She grew up hating herself, resenting her own. Why must life be so harsh on her? Why was she fated to live such life? Why was she destined to end up like this? Why was she even born? For the first time, her twelve year old self desired something...
Death.
She couldn't take it anymore. Her parents loathed her, her schoolmates tormented her and she didn't have any friends to turn in to. She was alone in this cold crude world... She was... alone, with no one else by her. She couldn't stand it. She couldn't stand the cruel reality. She wasn't strong. She was always the weakest. She would rather die than living in this hell-like life. She wanted to die.
She need to die.
What is life if there is no meaning to it? Just as she was about to go, to disappear forever, a small ray of light shone upon her. She was fed up. Of all times, why now? Just when she had decided that she doesn't need life anymore. Just when she was about to give up... Light came upon her? Hope? She doesn't want hope. She won't hope.
But alas, she lost to the miracles of hope.
When she started junior high, that's where her life gained its "life". She met the heiress of the Kunai clan which was to be said one of the most powerful clan in Japan. Unexpectedly, the heiress saved her from the darkness.
Tenten Kunai befriended her. The beautiful brunette that she just recently met, managed to convince her from committing suicide. She consoled her, be with her. She aided her, accompanied her. She was constantly by her side, caring her, loving her like her mother once. Tenten Kunai, she was her savior. She became her everything.
They became the best of friends. She protected her from being bullied. She send laughter to her life and bring smiles to her face. She sacrificed her grand life for the sake of a girl like her. She was indebted to her.
Tenten Kunai became her string of hope. Her ray of light. She was the first person that was kind enough to even acknowledge her as a human being. She was her first true friend. She decided that she will treasure Tenten Kunai for all her life. She will definitely definitely treasure her.
But life was just never fair. She transferred to America because of her father's political issues. She knew what this means. She will end up alone. She will lose her only support, her reason to live.
Just before Tenten flew all the way across the world, her second friend in life promised that when the time comes, she will take her away from her nightmare. She promised that Haruno Sakura will live a brand new life as she reach seventeen years of age. And with that, they parted. For the first time ever since she was five, she cried. She cried till her eyes were red and till her nose was stuffed.
Why!? Just when she was having a nice moment in life? Why must her life be so miserable?!
Without her realizing, the days went on without having Tenten by her side. True, she had spent most of her life, without no one by her side. But this was the first time that she truly feels lonely.
The years passed on and the bullies gotten much worse. But she endured it, for the sake of her brunette friend. However, just when she was in her last year of junior high, she met Inuzuka Kiba, a transfer student who changed her life to a whole new different level. At first, she ignored him. She told herself that there was no used in creating an attachment to the people around her when she will have to leave her birth place 4 years later. However, he kept on pestering her and without her realizing, he began to warm his way up to her. They spent most of their time together and he fend her off from the bullies.
The days she spent with him will be a memory she will never forget. He brings laughter and smile to her, something that Tenten managed to do. She was at the highest peak of happiness.
Finally, after a month, he asked her out, sending fireworks and excitement in her life. For the first time ever since she was five, she was happy. So happy that she might jumped all the way to America and hugged Tenten tightly till she was out of breath.
Kiba gave her the happiness she yearned for. The love that she lost and never owned. The happiness that she once lost. She learned to love him, his smiles, his laughs, his sincerity. He was all that she wished for.
Inuzuka Kiba was her first love and will forever be...
But her happiness ripped to shreds as they broke up, all because of Seidou Karin. All because of the red headed girl who bullied her and loathed her to death. All because of Seidou Karin who stole her boyfriend's heart. All because of Seidou Karin who seduced her boyfriend. All because that Kiba never actually fell in love with her. All because she was just used to attract Karin's attention.
It was all her fault.
Eventually, her life returned back to its normal isolation.
Now, sixteen, entering her high school years, she barely managed to afford the school fees, with her parents wasting their pays on drugs and gambles. With the little money she earned from her part-time job, she managed her life carefully.
And during her sixteen years of age, too, she met Tsunade.
Tsunade was her biology teacher as well as the school's nurse. She was the first person who smiles so kindly to her and offered her a hand when she was in vain. Tsunade treated her as if she was her own daughter and she was happy and content with it. Tsunade gave her a new meaning in life and taught her the secrets of life. She was happy. She now can smile and laugh like she used to. And through Tsunade, too, she met and befriended the akatsukis as well as Kakashi.
Without her realizing, two years had gone by and there was only a month left before she turned eighteen. In twenty eight days, she will be free, free from her cage.
Well, that is, if she managed to escape the grasp of the new student who held a dangerous interest towards her.
