Jane had been acting strange recently. She was regularly busy in an evening and rarely wanted to hang out. And when she was around she was distracted by her phone, constantly looking at it and grinning goofily. Maura missed her best friends company.
At the Dirty Robber Maura was discussing Jane's strange behaviour with the other detectives.
"It's not a guy" Korsac said "we would know about it if it was a guy".
"Would we?" Frankie asked.
"Well Maura would know about it surely" Korsac responded.
"Would I?" Maura asked.
A few drinks later the discussion continued.
"She smiles at her phone, she's always distracted and she's never around, evidence points to a guy" Frost said.
"We can not jump to conclusions" Maura admonished.
"Well lets spy on her?" Frankie asked.
"Count me out, I don't wanna be killed" Korsac said walking towards the bar for another round of drinks.
"I'm her partner, she needs to trust me, I think I will sit this one out guys" Frost added.
"Well I'm her brother, I'm expected to be nosey" Frankie responded with a grin.
"I'm her best friend, she should feel like she can tell me anything. I want to find out what is going on. I am more than happy to help you Frankie. Should we involve Angela?" Maura asked.
"No, don't tell Ma" Frankie answered quickly.
"So what's the plan?" Korsac asked reappearing at the table.
"We can find out where she is going tomorrow and follow her" Frankie said.
"How do you find out where she is going?" Frost asked.
"We can ask her?" Maura answered.
"Too obvious, we gotta be subtle" Frankie said dismissing Maura's idea completely.
"We could stake out all her favourite places" Korsac suggested.
"We...? Your back in?" Frost asked.
"She can't kill all of us" Korsac responded.
"Ok so that could work" Frankie said" Korsac you stay here, I will go to Fenway, Frost you hang out at BPD and Maura stay at home. That basically covers Jane's life the last 4 years".
"If she is keeping this guy a secret, she is not going to show up somewhere she expects us to be, or possibly be" Frost said "our best bet is to tail her tomorrow when she leaves BPD and see where she goes".
"This is ridiculous, I'm going to Jane's" Maura said.
"You won't tell her about our plan will you?" Frankie asked.
"Of course not" Maura responded.

KNOCK KNOCK
"Jane...you in?" Maura asked "...Jane I can see your car outside and your light is on...what is up with you, let me in Jane".
Maura sighed and found the spare key in the bottom of her bag.
"Jane, why didn't you answer the ..." Maura trailed off as she entered Jane's house so see Jane sat on the sofa with a beautiful Latina woman.
"Hey Maura, meet my girlfriend Regina Mills" Jane said "Regina, meet Maura Isles my best friend".
