Ever since she was a little girl, Quinn Fabray had always loved the rain. To her there is nothing more comforting or peaceful then curling up on a chair with a blanket, book, and a cup of tea and just watching it rain and reading the afternoon away.

When she wakes up Thursday morning she hears the soft pitter-pat of rain against the windows and she smiles to herself. She quietly gets out of bed, careful not to wake up Puck and wraps herself into her robe before softly padding her way down the hall into the kitchen.

She tidies it up a bit and makes breakfast for the two of them. She's just finishing up with Puck comes stumbling into the kitchen, what little hair he has all messy from sleep and stubble gracing his face.

"Morning babe," he grinned taking the cup of coffee she offered him and kissing her softly.

"Morning," she smiled grabbing toast out of the toaster.

They have a quiet breakfast together before he leaves to go to his job down at the police station. She cleans up their breakfast before she showers and gets dressed.

She tries to make herself focus on her work (she has a ton of manuscripts piling up that are calling for her to edit), but she's too distracted by the rain happening outside so by lunch she decides its best to call it a day before she makes herself a cup of tea and curls up in her favourite arm chair with a worn copy of Gone with the Wind in her hands.

She completely looses track of time and she's honestly startled when Puck walks into their small home at five. He laughs and kisses her forehead.

"Typical," he teases making their way into their bedroom to change out of his uniform. "You'd better get ready or we'll be late meeting Finn and Rachel for dinner."

Quinn cursed silently under her breath and quickly changed into a pair of dark jeans and a flowy blouse.

Dinner is full of laughter and jokes and it passes by way too quickly just like it does every time the four of them get together. Its still raining as they leave the restaurant and Quinn tucks herself into Puck's side on the drive home.

She's confused when he pulls over by the park down the street from her house.

"Babe what are you doing?"

"When's the last time you played in the rain?"

She smiles at him before climbing out of the truck and making a mad dash for the swings. He chases after her and catches her around the waist, lifting her and spinning her through the air.

They're both laughing hard when he finally returns her to the ground and she leans up to kiss him. He pulls her to him and starts to sway.

"Dance with me babe."

"But we don't have a song."

"We don't need one."

She lays her head onto his chest and he pulls her as close to him as he can. Neither is really sure how long they're in the park dancing together, its almost as if time stopped just for them.

He brushes a piece of hair off of the side of her face and she looks up at him.

"Marry me." Its not a question, its a statement.

"What?" She asked, a smile forming on her face.

He pulls away from her to dig something out of his pocket and suddenly she's looking at the most gorgeous ring she's seen in her life.

"Marry me Quinn Fabray."

Her smile grows bigger and she launches herself back into his arms. "Of course!"

She's never seen a bigger smile on his face as he slips the ring onto her finger. Its a silver band with a princess cut diamond in the middle. Its simple, elegant, beautiful, and oh so perfect.

She leans up to kiss him with everything she has. "I love you," she whispers against his lips.

"I love you too."
