Okay this story takes place a few weeks after the end of the school year. Kat is at college, Shelby went home for the summer to try and work things out with her mom since Walt is gone. Scott stayed at Horizon with all of the other Cliffhangers except for Juliette who is with her mother for the summer and getting to know Hal more. Okay that should give you an idea of the story.
"Oh god no..." She thought as she looked at the small stick. "This can't be good." She stared down at the bright pink line and felt her stomach sink. What am I gonna do now? Shelby quickly wrapped the stick up in toilet paper and threw it into the garbage. She stood in front of the mirror and stared at herself, trying to find something that was different. She looked the same as she always did, her hair was long and blonde, parted at the side. She searched for something about her to have changed, after all she was going to be a mother.
She thought back to the night it had happened. How wonderful it was. It was a night she would never forget for as long as she lived. Everything about it was perfect. A knock brought her back to reality.
"Shelby...I need the bathroom, I have double shifts today." Her mother yelled.
"Alright, I'll be right out."
She have herself another look to make sure her mother wouldn't be able to tell, sighed, and walked out of the door.
"Can you please stop at the store on your way home from work today...the list is on the table."
"Sure" Shelby was working at a local restaurant as a waitress. They needed the money to put her and Jess through Horizon, plus it was better than sitting at home where the memories could flood back to her. She put the list in her pocket and poured herself a cup of coffee.
Mmmm...this is what I missed most being at Horizon.
Shelby glanced at the clock above the sink and groaned..."Mom we are gonna be late!!"
Her Mom rushed out of the bathroom and gulped down some coffee.
"Let's go."
They both rushed to the car.
At least work will keep my mind off of this....right like I could ever forget.
Okay...so PLEASE review...good bad whatever.... need input cause this is my first one. Don't hold back!!!
