AN: It's been awhile since I've written anything so be nice guys.
Summary: The despair Watanuki felt as he stood there unable to move watching her slip away. Life is cruel and his mentor taught him that things happen for a reason. However, if there was a way to prevent what happened wouldn't you do it? For every wish there is an equivalent price to pay.
Another day, another 24 hours of regret.
"Wake up Watanuki!" Maru called.
"Yeah it's time for you to wake up~!" Moro called as she tried to shake the sleep out of Watanuki.
It was truly a beautiful day the average person would be delighted that they're breathing and alive to see the world. Watanuki on the other hand was never an average person to begin with. It's been awhile since Yuuko's death. The first emotion to hit Watanuki was denial. It's how he was able to get up in the mornings. Hoping that there's a way to bring her back he told himself there had to be.
As he dragged himself to sleep, with the help of Maru and Moro, he couldn't shake the feeling that someone was watching him.
"Watanuki make the omelets again! They were yummy!" Mokona exclaimed as he bounced on to Watanuki's left shoulder.
"Alright alright. Every chef needs his space so, "Watanuki started as he looked around the room "Maru! Moro! Play with Mokona!"
'Another day I guess. I miss you so much won't I ever see you again?' Watanuki thought as he readied breakfast.
After breakfast everyone went on with their usual routines. Maru and Moro played together, Mokona tried to distract Watanuki with his crazy antics, and everyone else went on living their lives. Today seemed so normal until she came.
"Welcome to the shop!" Maru and Moro said in unison.
"Thank you I don't know what made me come here I'm sorry to bother" The woman frantically said.
"You were destined to be here do not worry" Watanuki started as he gestured her inside. A sudden pain struck him in the heart. Everything was fine he thought.
He didn't know just how wrong he is.
