Ageless Question

Bella's P.O.V.

I was sitting with Edward, my husband, in the living room of our cozy cottage. I was trying to read another parenting book. He was reading it over my shoulder.

I hate these stupid parenting books. I swear, I have bought about every one known to man- and vampire- kind. But all of them say the same thing "When your child does this do this." "When your child does that do this." I really hate them. Edward and I have no clue how to raise a child, let alone a one-of-a-kind, unique, special child who is growing so fast we wake up to a new little girl everyday. I threw the book lightly against the wall. It hit it and bounced into the trash can. Renesmee came out of her room rubbing her eyes and dragging her blanket behind her. She looked at the book lying in the trash can.

"Mommy, did you through the book at the wall?" She asked with a confused look on her face.

I looked up at Edward, he nodded. "Yes Renesmee, I did. I got frustrated and I'm sorry I woke you up. Why don't you just go back to sleep sweetie?"

"What's it about?" She asked.

"How to be a good parent." I told her.

"But Mama, these books are written for normal kids. I thought I was special." She said as a tear fell from her eye.

"Come here baby." I scooped her up, sat back down in Edward's lap, and hugged her against my chest. "You are special." Then I realized something. All the parenting books in the world were written for human children, not half human-half vampire children. We would have to learn by trial and error. But, what if one day this (human and vampire physical relationship thing) was to happen again. They would be going through the same situation as Edward and I and I wouldn't want this for them. So I should write down every night all the struggles and achievement that happen that day. I would somehow have to make sure that if this did happen again, that this book got to the couple and their new half breed child.

I put Nessie back in her bed and went back to the couch. It was my turn to answer the ageless question: How do I raise my child?
