A/N: So nothing great, this idea has just been floating around in my head for months…
"Would you like to apply for a charge card, you can save 20% and it helps our store out a lot," the cashier says in a rush, pleased she manages to get through the whole speech without messing up.
Pepper smiles politely as she begins to pull out her wallet, "No that's-"
"I'll apply," Tony speaks up, moving in front of her to drum his hands on the counter top.
"You can't," Pepper responds, fishing her card from its slot.
"I don't need your permission," Tony scoffs.
Pepper sighs in exasperation, turning to face him "That's not-"
Tony holds up a finger to silence her, "I'm sorry, I'm filling out a card application."
Pepper's eyebrows shoot up as she fights off a smirk, arms folded across her chest he's no longer as confident when he gestures for the cashier to continue.
"Ok," she starts off hesitantly, not sure how to respond to the couple in front of her she turns back to her screen. "I'm just going to need your drivers license."
"Great," he smiles broadly, flashing Pepper patronizing look when he hands his license over. The grin slips slightly when Pepper's smirk only widens.
"Thank you Mr. Stark, now if you could move over to the pen-pad" she instructs and he moves with her request, fingers hovering over the number-pad. He doesn't see why Pepper had thought he couldn't do this; nothing had been overly complicated, until the girl speaks again. "Now if you could just type in your social security number."
Flinching with the last three words, he can practically feel Pepper's smug look burning a hole in the back of his head. Clearing his throat he tries hard to ignore Pepper behind him and waves the girl over. "Look," he whispers, trying to keep the conversation between them. "Is there any way we can do this with out that?"
The girl blinks in confusion, shaking her head slowly, "I'm sorry Mr. Stark but we need it to submit the application."
"Move," Pepper tells him, pushing him back from the counter and effortlessly typing in his number.
Tony recovers quickly, hovering over her shoulder. "That was just cruel," Tony tells her, watching as she types in all of his information without a second thought.
"I tried to warn you."
"Should have tried harder."
"So this is all my fault?"
"Exactly," Tony grins cockily.
Turning as she fights off a smirk, Pepper rolls her eyes and hands him the pen, "Just sign on the line."
