A/N: I got bored again. Here's what I came up with as a oneshot. It's pretty short and pretty clear.
After years of isolation and neglect from his parents, Marcus finally confronted his father. He barged through the mahogany doors and stared at his father who was sitting peacefully by the fire. The study was a private room for his father where no one was to enter.
"Yes, Marcus?" He asked as he calmly sipped from the glass. There was a slight silence.
"I need to talk to you...now," The teen responded. Adam sighed and rose from his seat. He leaned on the mantle, in front of the fireplace and breathed in the smell. Burning firewood, nothing better.
"Dad...I'm...," He couldn't do it. He was too panicked. He froze.
"Yes...Marcus?" He could hear the impatience in his voice grow. Adam Fenix, was not a man to leave unanswered.
"I''m...," It was too risky to tell him then, "I'm..."
"Out with it!"
"Gay..." Another silence as Adam finished his drink and smashed the glass into the fireplace. For once, Marcus didn't know how to respond. Adam continued to face away from his only son. He wasn't too happy about it.
"Get out," He finally replied softly.
Marcus choked back insults, "Why?"
"Get out! You're a disgrace to this family...just like your mother."
"No! You're the disgrace!" He yelled at him. Adam picked up a frame from the mantle and threw it across the room. The clock, the photos of Elaine and himself, the family portrait was torn down.
"You were nothing but trouble! I knew I should have never listened to that whore!"
Marcus immediately reacted, "You talking about your drag queen 'girlfriend' that you killed mom for?!"
Adam stopped trashing the room, "I...I don't know what you're talking about."
"You think I don't know about Adrien, dad? You think I don't know that you killed her just so you can be with that tranny bitch? You think I didn't figure it out when mom left me this!" He threw the CD at the middle aged man; Adam threw it off to the side.
"You were supposed to be normal! Not like this! Not like...me..." He reached a breaking point. "You were supposed to be with Anya. Normally living your lives! That was the agreement with her parents!"
"How dare you? You're disgusting." Marcus spat in his face as Carlos slowly crept towards the door. He had been listening the whole time.
"Get out you pieces of shit! Get out!" Adam threw a book at them both and continuously threw broken pieces of glass and wood at them. Marcus dodged what he could and walked away with Carlos.
He grabbed is wrist and pulled him away from the horrors of his father. He was so ashamed of his father's reaction, he didn't want to hurt the one person who truly cared for him more than what was already said and done.
They broke away from the dark and dismal estate and reached the front doors letting in what little light came from beyond the patches of clouds. Marcus continuously dragged Carlos down and away from the building he once called a home. Suddenly, a shot was heard. The sound echoed through the house and rang right into Marcus' ears. He stopped for a second and pressed on towards the car. That life was now behind him...he was done with.
