I need you Chapter 1
My senses skimmed the area, shying away from other minds.
I felt the joy and exultation rush through my veins and I can't help let a small smile grace my normally emotionless face...
My mind jerked suddenly and I frowned...
Then my mind screamed out, something was clutching at me...
Fear overcame my senses... mine or not?
...Not... but then who's?
My delicate nose picked up on the fear... sweat... deodorant...
My ears twitched... footsteps...short gasps...
I hesitantly looked into the mind again... he's coming
...Who...
I groaned and doubled over as a lithe body plowed into me.
We both went tumbling onto the ground in a bunch of tangled limbs.
I looked up with my sapphire eyes to see who had run into me and gasped at the boy that sat, stunned, on top of me. He was like a fallen angel with soft alabaster skin and two-toned blue hair, the top slate blue and the bottom a royal blue. A bruise marred his perfect cheek and I reached out to brush his hair away from his eyes.
Suddenly the boy's eyes snapped open and I gasped, stunned for the second time, his eyes where a blood red and the fear in them were all too obvious.
We sat the for what seemed like hours but could only of been minutes, staring at each other, when suddenly Footsteps echoed down the alleyway and the red eyed boy shot up looking around.
I got up too and motioned for him to follow me.
I saw him hesitate from the corner of my eye as I walked in the direction of my apartment but soon after I heard him follow. Normal pov
Tala stopped at the door to his apartment and fiddled with his keys for a moment before unlocking the door and going inside.
"What's your name?" he asked to the boy.
"Kai." The boy answered, as he looked around the apartment, curiosity evident on his face.
"Well Kai, make yourself at home." Tala said with a smile. "By the way, my name's Tala."
Kai sat on a stool in the kitchen and watched as Tala went to the cupboard and got out some bread.
"Hungry?" Tala mentally hit himself for asking, of course Kai would be hungry.
Kai nodded and Tala noticed for the first time that Kai's clothes where little more then rags.
"We'll have to get you out of those clothes too." Tala stated. Kai jumped, looking startled. "I didn't mean it that way!" Tala said with a roll of his eyes when he saw Kai's reaction to his words. "It's just that you're clothes are filthy and you need new ones."
"I don't need new clothes." Kai said stubbornly.
"What are you planning to live in those the rest of your life?" the look that Kai gave Tala said that he was planning to.
Tala sighed in exasperation and handed Kai his sandwich. "Eat it." he commanded and for once Kai didn't hesitate to obey.
That's the first chapter up folks, sorry it's so short but I have the writers block at the moment. Anyway please review, suggestions, flames and everything else welcome.
