It was a Saturday Morning, a perfectly nice morning. It was about 5:30 am, and except for the occasional jogger, there was no one to be seen. Everything in Privet Drive seemed to be perfectly normal. It was a very calm neighborhood, and nothing ever happened that was 'unusual'. Except, if you were to be close to number 4 Privet Drive, you'd hear something that sounds quite like a dying donkey.

"FREAK!", a certain Dursly woman seemed to screech in a high, unnatural voice. "GET TO THE KITCHEN. NOW!" It was a wonder how the two known males in the Dursly house hadn't woken up. Except, the third male, a little boy the age of ten, who jumped awake, in the closet under the stairs. He stumbled out the door that had been unlocked, for once, and scurried into the kitchen.

"Y-yes, Aunt Petunia?" The little boy, named Harry hurriedly asked his so called "Aunt" looking at the floor.

"You," she said, pointing at him, "Are going to go get everything I need for Little Dudders Birthday. You need to be back here, at 7am. Are we clear?" Petunia said, as though she was talking to a dog.

"Yes Aunt Petunia, I'll be back by 7am. Are you sure you don't need anything else? Like candles? Or something for yourself?" Harry asked, trying to be as helpful as a 10 year old can be, and trying to get some type of affection from his aunt even though he knew it would be impossible.

"Well, that does seem nice... Get me a Lavender Candle, freak." Aunt Petunia said, adding it to the list. When she said freak though, her voice softened and there wasn't as much venom as usual. That made Harry's better than he had hoped it to be. Petunia Durlsy gave him the list and ushered him out the door.

/Slight time skip

Harry had gotten everything for Dudley's birthday breakfast, but was looking for a lavender candle. He decided to go into a local 'All you need' shop. It was a botique for girls, with a calm pink and lavender walls, a smell of cotton candy, and everything a girl could want beauty and relaxation wise. A short women with long silky chestnut hair, and inviting and warm brown eyes came up to him.

"What are you looking for sweetie?" She asked, thinking he was an orphan that was lost.

"Oh um my aunt wanted a lavender candle and I was wondering if you had any?" Harry timidly asked.

"Oh sure sweetie we have them right over here." She led him to where they kept their candles, and the Lavender candles were right between the Lemon candles and the start of bath soaps.

"Thank you miss you're really nice." Harry said, blushing.

"You're welcome sweetie," She aid hugging him. "tell me if you need anything else." She said smiling.
Harry looked thoughtful before replying "Do you think my aunt would like a calming bath soap? She always seems to be worried or stressed over something." The woman, Harry now knew her name was Cheryl from looking at her name tag, thought it over.
"Yes I do believe she would. Do you think she'd be okay with you buying it?" She asked, knowing sometimes people got upset when kids went over their budget.
Harry frowned. "No... she told me not to over spend..." he trailed off.
Cheryl sighed. "Well I'll buy it for you to give to your aunt. Come along to the checkout, sweetie."
They went to the checkout with the Lavender candle and calming bath soap but when Harry smelled the lemon candle, something seemed familiar about it. Cheryl checked Harry out, and with a last "Thank you" Harry left the store.
Once Harry got home he checked the time. his watch read 6:57 am. Harry thought 'Thank god I made it home on time' and he walked into the house.
"Aunt Petunia? He said quietly as he entered the living room seeing her reading a magazine.
"Yes boy? Do you have everything?" she asked, without looking up at him.
"Yes Aunt Petunia, I do, and I even got you a present!" Harry replied, happy.
"Did you use my money? She asked, starting to get a little bit angry.
"No Aunt Petunia, a lady paid for it for me so I didn't have to use your money." He said, handing her the bag with the Lavender bath soap and candle.
"Good job freak. Put the groceries on the counter and you can have a piece of break before working on my gardens." She said in a monotone voice.
Harry grabbed the biggest piece of bread in the bread box and headed outside to work on the gardens. He went into the shed and got the hand tool weeder and gently weeded all the weeds that had grown since last Saturday out of the ground and into the weed bin. After that he went and got the fertilizer mix and mixed it in with water and watered all the plants, which he did daily. Then, he started clipping all the dying flowers and leaves and put them in the same bin as the weeds, to be thrown away tomorrow when the garbage truck came around. Finally, he clipped the bushes into their normal rectangle shapes. He went inside to see Aunt Petunia started cooking.
"Aunt Petunia would you like me to clip some foxgloves and put them in a vase on the counter?" He asked, hoping his thoughtfulness would have her allow him a shower.
"Sure boy, and then afterwards take a shower you smell like sweat and dirt. And don't use all the hot water." She said, semi distracted not wanting to burn anything.
Harry quickly clipped some of the best foxgloves and put them in a vase and headed towards the restroom to take a quick lukewarm shower. Once he was out of the shower, he got dressed back into his clean 'clothes' and headed downstairs. He could smell something wonderful from the kitchen and tried his best not to let his stomach growl. When he headed into the kitchen he saw only Aunt Petunia and started to put the plates, silverware and cups onto the kitchen table. Then he got the orange juice, and coffee and put it on the table as well, and then started loading the cooked food onto large plates and put them on the table. As he had finished, Aunt Petunia gave him another piece of bread for "being tolerable". When he was about to go outside and lay on the grass his aunt spoke.
"Boy, you should sleep, we have to take you to the zoo with us today. But you can go wander in the town if you don't make a scene." Harry nodded but decided to just sleep, as he was pretty tired.

/After the Dursley family ate Breakfast

"BOY WAKE UP AND GET IN HERE" A voice yelled. Harry awoke, jumping and quickly getting out of the cupboard under the stairs. He "Speed walked" into the kitchen and looked up at his uncle.
"Petunia says you were good this morning, and since it's Dudley's special day, I'll be nice. You are to do all these dishes", He pointed to the pile of plates on the counter," and we have some old clothes of Dudley's friend you can wear. They will hopefully make you look normal at the zoo, but you must stay at least 5 feet away from us. Don't talk to us while we're there, and don't do anything stupid. Got it?" His suprisingly calm Uncle said. Harry nodded, and got to work on the dishes.
The Dishes took him about 10 minutes to load and clean off before he got the old clothes from the table and went to change in the cupboard. It was a "Dead or Alive" band t-shirt that fit him way better than Dudley's old clothes, and a pair of beige cargo shorts that had a hole in one of the pockets. Though these clothes were smaller they were still very loose and looked like Harry may be wearing old clothes of an older brother. He also got a pair of worn old converse, but they were bigger and didn't hurt his feet as much. He got out of the cupboard and went outside seeing Dudley's friend outside with Dudley. He got outside and waited for Petunia and Vernon. A few moments later they came out, and they got into their car, with Harry on one window seat, Dudley's friend in the middle, and Dudley on the other side.
"Are you boys ready to go to the zoo?" Aunt Petunia asked Dudley and his friend smiling. They both said yes, smiling, and got into a debate about Crocodiles and Alligators.
Harry watched the world go by as they drove along. He was so excited to go to the zoo, and wanted to see the snakes. Once he saw a snake documentary on the telly when he was home alone, it was about King Cobras and he absolutely loved it.
Before he knew it, they were at the zoo. They got in and Harry remembered to stay away from the dursleys. They may have been suprisingly nice today, but he was positive it would be back to normal tomorrow. The Dursleys and Dudley's friend went to look at the Deer first, and Harry looked at them too, but from a further away distance.
"Prongs" Harry whispered while looking at a buck that was with a deer, and jumped. Some how, the word Prongs was familiar. He tried to remember but soon gave up and gave on last glance at the deers before moving on.
The family soon enough got to the reptilian area and it took Harry all his might to stop from bouncing. When he got there he looked in amazement at all the snakes. He saw Dudley go up to a large tank that at the top said "New Member" he started hitting the glass and Harry looked away and went to look at a handler holding a snake.
The Man looked up and smiles. "Hello," he says to Harry. "Hi," Harry says, playing with the hem of his shirt. "What type of snake is that?" Harry asked, looking down. "It's an Eastern Indigo Snake. She's not venomous, don't worry. Also she's not fully growna as she's only about a meter and a half, and full grown are about 2 meters in length , and is normally a calm snake, even though she is quite heavy for her size." He laughed. Harry heard a sort of hissing voice saying "rude humansss" and harry said "What? Who said that?" even though it just sounded like Harry was hissing to the snake to the handler, who laughed.
"Would you like to hold her?" he asked Harry, who nodded excitedly. Lucky for him the Dursleys were looking at the crocodiles and Alligators a the handler gave him the snake. The snake looked at harry, in wonder, having heard him reply to her. "Hatching," She said, looking at him. "Yes?" Harry asked, wide eyed. The Handler just looked on, remembering his daughter at home hoping she may end up like this young boy.
"You are a sssspeaker" the snake made a gasping like noise and curled around Harry's shouders, making it around twice. Harry was confused but let it go. He saw Dudley go back to the "New Member" tank and start banging on the sighed. when he left Harry went over there to look at what snake it is, forgetting about the Eastern Indigo female on his shoulders.
He looked in the large tank and saw a type of cobra, roughly a meter long, slightly smaller than the Eastern Indigo. It was rolled up into a oval like shape, and appeared to be sleeping. Harry looked at the sign and it read
"King Cobra
Age: Roughly 7 years old
Length: 1.25 meters
Imported From India"

After Harry read through that, he looked up and jumped seeing the cobra staring right into his eyes. Suddenly, Harry was shoved aside, as his cousin went right in front of hte cobra and started banging the glass. Harry Mouthed sorry to the snake, as the snake did something alike to the rolling of the eyes. Then, to the suprise of everyone, the glass on a few of the larger tanks disappeared! Including the King Cobra's tank. Dudley fell right in, splashing into the water, as the cobra came out towards Harry. Without saying so much of a word, it went under his shirt and wrapped itself around his waist three times, scary considering Harry was Ten, not Five. Harry, on the other hand, didn't question it. He was happy for some company. The Eastern Indian snake seemed to catch on, and slid into Harry's pocket on his left side, the one without the hole. Harry was able to slip out of the area unnoticed, as snakes were slithering all over the place. He left the area, and walked back towards the entrance, to look at that stag and deer again. He wondered why they looked so familiar to him, and he wanted to know why. Harry had always been a curious child, and normally he could find out what he wanted to find out in the library, with some research. Just as Harry was coming out of his thoughts, he was in front of the deer and stag inclosure. He saw a tall woman, with long strawberry blonde straight hair a few ways away, lookingn like she was about to cry. 'She looks nice enough' Harry thought, and walked over to the woman. On closure inspection, he could see she had a pale complexion, her strawberry blonde hair was less blonde than he had first thought, and when she looked at him, he saw she had shining blue/grey eyes, that were covered with a layer of unshed tears.
"What's wrong, miss?" Harry asked her, looking up at her with his shining emerald green eyes.
"Their death," She said, sniffling, "I still haven't gotten over it," she sniffed again, "After 9 years, almost ten." She sniffed again, looking at Harry. "Who are you?" She asked him, slightly curious as she had only seen two people in her life with those bright shockingly emerald green eyes.
"Uh my name's Harry. Harry Potter, though I don't know if I have a middle name, since my parents died." Harry said, thinking he said something wrong when her jaw dropped and she kneeled down in front of him.
"Harry... I knew your parents."
