Some spoilers for 14x02, "Take The Money And Run."
I love how Greg comforted Morgan in this episode. And, since I wrote a story where Jackson comforts Greg after her shooting, I thought one where he comforts Morgan was in order.
All Morgan wanted to do after the team's latest case was hug her son. Greg was amazing and comforting to her after her shooting. She kept telling him she didn't want to be a burden, but she loved being in his arms and being with her family.
Holding baby Christopher in her arms made Morgan realize how much she adored Jackson. Lately, she and Greg were talking about having a baby of their own. Morgan knew Jackson would be a great big brother, but life was so crazy even before her kidnapping. Still, knowing that innocent child had no one left made Morgan realize she was lucky to have her family.
She and Greg arrived at Barbara's to get Jackson, and the little boy happily rushed to his parents. "Daddy! Mama!"
"Hey, sweetie!" Morgan said. She smiled when Greg lifted the giggling boy in his arms. She still couldn't lift him just yet, but hugged them both, loving just having them close.
"Hey, Jacks," Greg said. "You know what?" Jackson shook his head. "Your mama did a good job at work."
Jackson smiled at Morgan. "I knew you would, Mama!"
Morgan sighed quietly when she thought about how baby Christopher had lost both his parents - his mother died of cancer, and his father gave in to his own greed. She smiled sadly at her son in Greg's arms. "I don't feel like I did a good job, sweet pea."
Greg put one arm around Morgan. "You're okay. You did everything you could do."
Jackson frowned slightly. "Mama, I fink you did a good job."
Knowing how blessed she was to have Greg and Jackson, Morgan smiled. "Thank you. And I'm happy I get to see you every day."
"I happy I get to see you, an' daddy too!"
Greg kissed Jackson's cheek and hugged Morgan. "I'm happy to have you both. And I think Mama needs one of your power hugs."
Morgan gently took Jackson from Greg's arms, ignoring the ache in her back. Tears formed in her eyes as she hugged her innocent son. "I needed this. Thank you, sweet pea." She mouthed "thank you" to Greg.
"You welcome, mama. An' you okay."
Happy tears fell down Morgan's cheeks as she hugged her son. "Yeah, I'm okay."
Jackson missed being in Morgan's arms. "Mama, does your owie still hurt?"
"A little, but not nearly as much as not getting your power hugs." She tightened her arms around Jackson and Greg wrapped his arms around them.
"I miss hugging you, too. But you getting better."
Morgan smiled. "Yeah." She already felt better just seeing her innocent son. Holding him in her arms with Greg at her side, Morgan knew she really would be okay.
