I Don't Think So
A/N: Characters do not belong to me...
Deidre Snape and Chris Potter sat in the Great Hall, working on their Transfiguration homework assigned to them by their Head of House, Professor Granger.
"Merlin! Why did she assign so much!" exclaimed Chris, throwing down his quill.
"Chris, if you wouldn't have started your homework at the last possible moment, you would not be here now, complaining!" Deidre replied, looking up at her best friend.
"Well…sorry if I have Quidditch practice every evening until the Gryffindor- Slytherin game!"
Deidre sighed. She dreaded this time of the school year, because of the infamous Gryffindor- Slytherin game. It was the only time of the year that her family ever separated.
Deidre's twin brothers were seventh year Slytherins and chasers on their Quidditch team. Deidre's father was the dreaded Potions master and Head of the Slytherin House. Deidre's mother, on the other hand, was a true Gryffindor, as well as the Head of the Gryffindor House. Deidre herself was a Gryffindor, but supported both teams.
Yep…Quidditch was fine…until the most anticipated game came around…
Deidre loved Quidditch, before and after this game.
The week leading up to the game was rather eventful. Slytherins and Gryffindors hexed one another in the corridors between classes, sending many people, including many innocent Ravenclaws and Hufflepuffs, to the hospital wing. Deidre even caught her brothers numerous times trying to hex Chris! Deidre also found out that her parents were not being civil, even catching her own mother one day trying to jinx her father! In Deidre's opinion, her parents were acting worse than the students.
Finally, the day of the game came. Everyone was dressed in either their house colors or in the colors of the house they supported. Some people even placed bets on which team would win. Deidre sighed as she watched the game.
Well…Gryffindor won, thanks to Chris' superb catch of the Snitch from right under the Slytherin seeker's nose. Later that evening, during dinner, Chris sat down beside Deidre.
"Deidre, I have a question to ask you."
"Okay, shoot."
"Would you…"
Suddenly, there was a blow to Chris' head. Deidre looked up to find her father standing behind her and Chris.
"I don't think so, Potter. She's far too young for you."
Snape walked past, robes billowing behind him. Chris rubbed his head gingerly.
"I was only going to ask her to proofread my Potions essay!"
