Hypocrite: Part 1
There is an oath which every doctor much take, the hypocratic oath, which outlines the responsibilities of these professionals. However, there are doctors out there who corrupt this sacred oath. I am the one who keeps them in check. I am Tippy Lanter, part of the Patient Protection Guild, and this is the story of my first case.
I used to be a traveling salesman. I was good at it too, not skeevy like most salesman. Often people would invite me into their homes and I always walked away with a sale. One November day I walked into something strange.
Ding dong the door opened.
"This seems strange." A man in a suit with a large beard opened the door. Slightly behind him stood another man in a suit. Behind them strapped to a chair was a man in a doctors coat.
"Damnit Steve." What kind of name is Steve? Steve pushed aside the man who opened the door and knocked me over the head with a briefcase.
I woke up in a dimly lit room. I was tied to a chair next to the now badly bruised doctor. I tried to scream to find that my mouth was gagged. I freaked and tried to kick my legs. They were also tied. The doctor was barely recognizable. I can't stay here, I said to the doctor. Unfortunately, as previously mentioned, my mouth was gagged. I threw my weigh back and the chair broke, releasing me from the ropes.
"I did it." I yelled at the doctor with panic in his eyes.
"Huh, I guess you did." said Steve as he knocked me over the head with a suitcase.
