Okay so new story here, and my first Avatar fic. If you look at my others you will see an Eyeshield 21 fanfic named 2 Names, 1 Quote! This fanfic works on the same basis as that one. I RANDOMLY draw two names out of a bag and RANDOMLY draw a quote. The rules are that i have to focus on both characters I drew and have someone say the quote. Most of the quotes are simply random things taken COMPLETELY out of context, actually a good bit of these just came from my friend paying attention to me while I was talking to her on the phone and then we would laugh uncontrollably at the possibilities.
Yes me and my friend do have an addiction to fandom. We know. We know.
Oh Yeah
Names: Aang, Toph
Quote: "You just need to throw some sexual tension in there." (Its edited a bit in the fic, not much though)
Disclaimer: I do not own Avatar. But GODDAMN I wish I was the director/screenwriter of the movie because I could do a better job than the idiots in place now and I have ZERO experience!
Aang watched Katara cook from his seat next to Appa. He was pretty far away from the fire, and Appa's presence assured Aang that the cooks could not see him. They had Zuko helping Katara with the menial chores as penance for everything he had done to them.
He continued to watch the girl he loved with a sad look on his face. She was beautiful even as sweat coated her brow and neck and her face was red and shiny from the heat. As she cooked, she argued and yelled at Zuko that he couldn't even chop carrots correctly. All with a small smile on her face that felt like a jolt to Aang's heart each time he saw it. When she turned away, Zuko gave her a look that Aang knew all too well.
"Hey Twinkle-Toes! Stop your pity party and come and train with me." Toph suddenly yelled from his right. Aang jumped in surprise. He hadn't been paying attention as he had been throwing his… pity party.
"I… I don't feel like training right now. Dinner's almost ready anyways." Aang gestured gloomily at the scene before him. Katara was demonstrating how to cut the carrots and Zuko was much closer to her than was necessary.
Toph could feel the vibrations from all three teenagers and felt sorry for her friend. Not only did he have the weight of the world on his shoulders but he had to deal with unrequited love on top of that.
Aang tensed as Toph awkwardly placed her arm around his shoulders. "It'll be okay Twinkle-Toes. You just need to throw some sexual tension in between you two and she'll be swooning in no time." Aang grimaced, it was too late for him and Katara.
She patted his shoulder for a second before walking over to Katara and Zuko, yelling, "Hey, Sweetness, Sparky! Stop flirting and get back to cooking! I'm hungry." She glanced back at Aang, an unreadable expression on her face. Then she sat down a safe distance from the fire and continued to drill Katara and Zuko into submission.
Aang was grateful for Toph's words even though they both knew that Katara was far out of Aang grasp and always had been. He balled his hand into a fist as a single tear dripped down his face.
He would have to be strong.
For himself, and for the world.
TBC (Well not this specific situation, remember its a drabble! NOT a ONESHOT! A DRABBLE!)
