It was almost morning, but dark and still of human sound. Shadows shifted with the moon's journey across the sky.

Angel strode down the lane casually, his dark coat seemed strange for this warm climate. A soft, warm breeze was present even before sunrise.

Darla smiled as she strode alongside him in an very small skirt, her nipples noticeably risen under her indigo blouse. God, it was so hard not to get overexcited being so close to him. She felt fantastic vigour. A power much greater than her own, or his, in itself. A power they shared. It wasn't just the sum of their strength, no. It was something inexplicable, something special. It made her sexually aroused, delighted and charmed. She took a quick look behind.

Dru strode down the hill, grasping Spike's hand in hers with a smile. Her features were blood smeared, eyes blank. Spike followed, annoyed, but purposeful. They walked looking only in front with a little twinkle in their eyes. Even though it was obvious they were together, they weren't talking to each other. They moved with even, determined steps. As one, they turned the corner arriving to Revello Drive.

Darla looked up to the sky, then gave her companions a worried, protective look, "Spike? Are we close yet? Sun is just about to appear. Not that it bothers me, as I'm just a ghost , but…"

Spike nodded, "maybe we should run," he started, dragging Drusilla along. Spike was quite surprised when the famous three of his old companions turned up to look for him. He was even more surprised they turned up together. What on Earth was Darla doing again? Getting the nth chance to prove herself as a phantom after just one selfless act of sacrifice? Seemed unfair to him. One of her continuous tasks was to keep Dru out of trouble, away from any horrific thoughts she might have had. What a job! Although, the mad girl was always following her grandmother, praising her every word and action, more than she would ever listen to him. After they had lost Cordy as a guide to the Powers That Be, Darla became the spokesperson. And they wanted Spike to take them to Buffy, because they have been told by the Powers how to win the battle against the First. Now, that was the most ridiculous thing Spike ever heard. Okay, well, after the thing with himself asking for a soul. So, na ja, it's worth a chance. Let Buffy decide. For one, it will be such fun to see her face when they enter. More so, when they explain.

Angel was running half heartedly behind, Darla just appeared out of the air at Buffy's door before they got there.

Spike heard noise from inside, it was hardly ever any peace in that house, just too full. He opened the door, and they heard Buffy coming down the stairs and inquiring where he was all night. Spike shrugged and pointed towards the door, "we need an invite. Preferably before sunrise."

Then he waited for the effect of his words.

The End.
