Did you
forget
That I was even alive
Did you forget
Everything we
ever had
Did you forget
Did you forget
About me
"Cam! Cam, wait up." Massie yelled. Cam turned his head slightly to see who was calling his name, and then he started jogging down the hall to get away from her. "What's wrong with him?" Claire asked Massie.
"That's what I want to know," Massie replied before storming off to Art. Her feet were killing her in her brand new leopard print peep toe pumps. She kept walking and walking until she reached the Art room door. Massie plopped down in her seat right next to Cam. He whipped his head in the other direction to face Olivia Ryan. "Hey, don't you want to wear a smock? We're paper macheing today." Cam told her.
"Well not really. I do not want to ruin my new sweater." Olivia replied confidently.
"The point of wearing a smock is to help your clothes from not getting ruined." Cam sighed. He turned back to face Massie.
"Hey," she said shyly.
"Hi," he smiled back. They looked each other in the eye and every time they tried to talk the other would start to talk also. Then they would giggle.
"Cam what happened? We used to be best friends. What happened?" She asked again.
"Please! You know what you did! So don't expect me to tell you, when you clearly know what YOU did!" He whisper-shouted to her.
"Please Cam, refresh my memory. I would love to know what I exactly did, again," Massie scowled.
"You knew we loved each other. I loved you, you loved me. It would have been perfect. Then Derrick came along, and everything was gone. You broke my heart Massie Block. And I will never, ever, ever forgive you for it." Cam said. A black clump of mascara and eyeliner swiveled down her cheek and crashed to the ground. She wobbled out of the Art room listening to the many calls of her name and the click-clacking of her shoes clamping down on the dirty marble floors. It almost seemed as if they were laughing at her.
Click-clack. Click-clack
Click-clack. Click-clack
He-hates-you. He-hates-you
Broke-his-heart. Broke-his-heart.
The minute she got home she swore to herself she would never wear high heels again.
