Hey Tally, Welcome To The Sixties!

Author's Notes: I don't own Uglies or Hairspray. Ah, I remember this one. I finished it in a super rush back in 2007 to try to get it in before the contest at FanLib was over.

1Chapter 1: Tally, Tracy, and the Corny Collins Show

Tally has arrived in the sixties, she doesn't know how though.

She has now met a girl named Tracy Turnblad.

Tracy is an interesting Rusty. She's what the Rusties called "good dancers".

Tracy has invited Tally to the next episode of this "TV show" called "The Corny Collins Show".

"I've never even heard of 'the Corny Collins Show'," said Tally.

Tracy gasped. "It's the greatest show EVER. Where people dance."

"That's it?" Tally said. "Just dance?"

"Yeah," said Tracy.

"Sounds like a boring show."

"No, they have some of the best dancers on the Corny Collins Show."

"Hmm... Interesting," said Tally.

"Hey, Tracy," said Tracy's mom. "I've decided we're going on a trip to Alcatraz Island."

"Where's that?" Tally asked. "California?"

"Aaahh," Tracy's mom cries, obviously scared by Tally's face. "Yes, yes, it's in California, in the middle of San Francisco Bay."

"Great," said Tally. "I'll get ready."

"What? Whoever decided you were coming?" Tracy's mom asked.

"I think you did," Tally said.

"What makes you think that?"

She pointed to a piece of paper.

It said, "Always let scary people do whatever they want. Except kill members of the family, take members of the family, or take very valuable items. -Tracy's mom"

"What kind of letter is that?" Tracy asked.

"Um... well... uh..." Tracy's mom tried. "Okay fine, but no killing anybody."

"Of course," said Tally.

"So when are we going?" Tracy asked.

"Soon," said her mom.

"How soon?"
