The one thing that he'd always found himself entranced by, were her eyes. Cliche, he knew. But, they were such an alluring and captivating hazel color dusted with ravishing golden specks that you'd only notice if you stared at them long enough.
Not that he stared at her.
Nope.
Not at all.
After all, what would the guild think if they found out that possibly the scariest looking member-minus Erza, ofcourse. That woman was incomparable.- had taken a liken to the endearing bookworm of the guild?
He didn't like thinking about it. About how they would react. They'd only just started accepting him and even then some members were still wary of him, so what in the world would they do if they found out that he might be slightly fond of her?
Okay, maybe slighty was an understatement, but that's beside the point.
He didn't know when he'd started growing attached of her. Maybe it was during the S-Class Trail, when he'd saved her life, or maybe it was during the Grand Magic Games when he'd seen her cheering for him alongside the rest of the guild. Nevertheless, he only started discovering those feelings after the guild had disbanded and everyone had went their own ways.
He'd found himself missing her presence, how she'd always scold him for eating too fast, how she'd unconsciously smile when finishing a book, how she'd always clutch Lily tightly when she was feeling nervous, how a light pink hue would dust her cheeks when someone complimented her and how her eyes would glow brightly when she smiled.
And despite her other features, he'd always find himself thinking about her eyes.
Okay, not in a creepy way. Definitely not. But her eyes had always put him in a trance. Soft swirls of brown always filled with hope and never wavering determination.
He'd often heard people talking about how common and dull brown eyes were. How they lacked of life.
But that was definitely not the case with her. If anything, her soft hazel eyes gave him life. The tiny golden specks made them different.
He knew that she absolutely hated them. Thought they were boring and dull. It'd gotten to the point where she'd sometimes wear different colored contacts for a change.
He'd always wanted to tell her about how beautiful they really were, but he just wasn't ready yet. Telling her she was beautiful also meant confessing, and he definitely wasn't ready for that.
So he promised himself, that one day, he'd tell her how beautiful and memorizing her eyes really were.
A/N:
Ah, don't know where this came from, but I thought I'd write it down anyway. Hope you enjoyed reading that.
Image/Fairy Tail don't belong to me. (Obviously)
