"Look what my baby has gone and done. Destroyed the whole wide world."
(not the first to screw the people of the world over, just ask my Sammy-boy)
It takes one mind, his laid out before me almost equal to my very own, one single brilliant mind to put an end to the world.
And we thought it was so unbreakable right up until the good doctor broke it.
Now that lovely mind of his has come undone and matches mine in every way.
But instead of having the help of hands of blue he did this all to himself.
(him and his damaged little mind)
"I did it without hands just mind and mouth. One worse then the other. What did I do?"
From this prison of his, walls lined with the overflowing items in his mind (I add in every now and then) so those glazed eyes can see all the pain they caused.
(see destruction in every form)
But when they look at me as if seeing me for the very first time they see me not as River Tam but as the hushed name of Bennett.
Who did not have hands of blue to make her mad she did that all by herself.
"I see smiling eyes, always smiling at me even when their dead. Dead and covering me."
He runs his fingers over both our faces searching for any drops of blood, to make sure this is truly real.
And when he makes sure I'm breathing, his blond head on my chest until the night, he escapes back into his world and leaves me to play mother.
"It's all too real, Topher, all too damn real."
