Sora stared out at the ocean, his mind wandering, as it had been doing so lately. He leaned back against the bark of the paopu tree and laced his fingers behind his head.
The memories bombarded him swiftly.
Sora, Donald, and Goofy surrounded by a mixture of Heartless and Nobodies, struggling to break through. Sora obliterated one, just to have three more spawn in its place. The moonlight illuminated the harbor of Port Royal as the trio fought, only to be swarmed again.
"Man, it's times like this that I don't miss the fighting," Sora muttered to himself. A shadow crossed over his body, and the sun was blocked out by a figure standing over him.
"Mulling again, Sora?" Riku's voice asked from above him.
"And what makes you say that, Riku?" Sora asked.
"Anymore, it seems that whenever you're out here you're thinking about fighting." Riku said.
"Yeah, well, it's kind of a big thing that happened to me." Sora replied.
"It happened to me too. Don' forget that. But it's done and over with. Maybe it's time you moved on." Riku suggested.
"I can't just forget what happened! I almost lost you and Kairi," Sora cried.
"I'm not saying forget what happened. I'm saying don't let it dominate your thoughts. But I'll talk to you later, Kairi wants to meet me in the cove so we can go swimming. You can come too, if you'd like," Riku offered.
"No thanks, Riku. But I'll talk to you later," Sora said and closed his eyes once more. And promptly fell asleep.
