The doors closed behind the two, and they fell in to a akward silence. "Is it just me, or is the turbolift going slower then usual?" Ezri commented, moving to the opposite end of the turbolift fro Bashir. "It is. I mean, like, scientifically. Why is that? It's not like we have a power shortage or anything. Maybe there's too much friction" he responded akwardly, speaking like Barclay. "You do that" she said, looking away from him. "So, how are you?" "Good. You?" "I'm good" they exchanged, trying their best to stay away from one another."Why are we doing this?" Ezri commented, whipping around to face him. She found her face only inches from his, and silently wished that she wouldn't have turned to face him. "What?" "You know what I mean" "No I don't" "We're exchanging small talk now! We didn't do this before we..." "Admitted to each other that we were in love?" "Yes. We agreed we're friends, we just have to pretend that never happened. Trust me, I'm a councilor" they said to each other, the Turbolift still inching slowly. "If you say so" "I know so." "Aren't we supposed to like, come up with some coping mechanism?" "I guess. Since when did you have the ability to finish my sentances?" "Forever. I can do anyone's actually. You guys are fairly... predictable" he commented. "I'll try not to take that as a insult" "It wasn't intended as one!" they continued, bickering as if they were a couple. They both knew that their chemistry was out of control and nearly unstoppable, but they tried their hardest to stop it. "So, comping mechanism time?" "I guess. Our akwardness ends here" he said, pointing at the two looked at each other for a minute, silent. Out of the blue Julian wrapped his arms around her and kissed passionately. Ezri didn't do anything for a moment, before she wrapped her arms around his, and moved her lips with his. The two's lips rubbed against each other, both happy beyond explanation. The chemical reaction was completed, and the turbolift's job turbolift opened as the two continued. "I guess they worked it out" O'Brien said, walking over to Worf. Everyone stared at them, but they wouldn't let go. They were too happy. All they wanted to do was be together. Worf put a end to the show, pressing a button to send them back down to the Corridor. Ezri took a mental note to thank his later, that is, if he didn't kill Julian. Julian was thankful as well, suprised that he wasn't killed on the spot. The two pulled apart to gasp for much needed air, but not letting go of each other. "Julian..." "What is it?" He replied, brushing her hair fro her face, ready to kiss her again. "Did you really need to do it on a turbolift to ops" "Yes. Plus, I did do what we agreed. I ended our akwardness. Just in a way we didn't intend" He joked, and Ezri smiled. They began kissing again, thankful to be together. They might get yelled at for breaking some Starfleet regulation tommorow, but that was tommorow. Today, they started a new relationship, and closer one then before. The turbolift doors opened at the corridor, and Bashir pressed the up button without letting go of his newfound love.
