And Please Review! :)

Arya sat there in front of the fire, on guard duty to make sure that none of Galbatorix's troops discovered them as they made their way back to the Varden. Eragon had already gone to sleep, and it wasn't his turn for several more hours.

Eragon. She wasn't quite sure of what her feelings toward him were. He definitely was not the young farmboy he was when he brought her to the Varden. "How ever did he manage to save me?" ran through Arya's thoughts.

It stumped her. With Brom help, of course it would be possible, but at that point even the great Brom had died, leaving him to fend for himself. Not that you can call it "fending for yourself" when you have a dragon, and a man who's been trained by the finest swordsmen the king has to offer, to help you.

How he did such a thing was a mystery to her, not to mention how a simple farm boy like him could ever be one of her closest friends in the Varden.

"He is far from what he appears," she muttered to herself. "And nor does 'simple' come close to describing him."

No. It doesn't come near to many other words, but those she would never say aloud. Of course, soon after the events that transpired after the Agaeti Blodhren, She had discovered that her feelings for him passed far beyond that of a mere friend.

During that time where they avoided each other, she often had pondered to herself whether or not she returned his feelings. After many days she realized she did, but resolved to hide such emotion until the end of the war. If, and only then, would she tell him, if the circumstances allowed for it of course. Little did Arya know then that her mother would die, and he would become the leader of a new order of Dragon Riders, putting such responsibility upon them that she could never reveal such feelings without fear of either of them being distracted of their duties, of which help ensure that peace remains in Alagaesia.
