I do not own RWBY

This is my first attempt at writing anything remotely fluffy, so don't judge it too harshly. Happy late Valentine's day!

While Yang and Ruby were off on their usual antics with Weiss to make sure nothing got too out of hand, Blake was catching up on her reading. Just as she was getting really into her book, Ruby burst through the door.

"How are you Blake? What are you reading now?" Blake sighed, while she loved the other girl, she could be so full of energy when she wanted to block out the world and bury her head in a book, but maybe Ruby drawing her out was good for her.

"I'm good and I'm reading The Fault in Our Stars."

"Oh! I love that book, even if it's super depressing!"

"Really?" Blake had a hard time believing Ruby would appreciate romance mixed with tragedy.

"Yeah. It's great when they egg Monica's house."

"It is a great scene. Anyway, why are you here? I thought you were out with Weiss and Yang."

"I was, but they can be tiring, especially when Yang wants to do something crazy and Weiss objects. Those are the fiercest friendly arguments I've ever heard."

"So what do you want to do?" Blake had been wanting to spend more time with the scythe wielder and now seemed like the perfect opportunity.

"Let's watch a movie. I'm dying to try out our new TV." The team had gotten a TV a couple weeks ago, paid for by Weiss, but due to the busy schedule Beacon kept them on they hadn't had a chance to test it out more than it took to see if it worked.

"Sure. Just don't make it a movie based off a book."

"Movies are never as good as their books," Ruby agreed. "Let's watch Finding Nemo!" Blake set it up while Ruby dashed off to find popcorn, an accessory that Blake thought was unnecessary, but Ruby insisted upon. As they began watching the younger girl snuggled up to Blake.

-Yawn- "That movie never gets old."

"No. It doesn't." responded the cat faunus. "It's getting late, you should go to bed."

"Sure. In a minute." Several seconds later Ruby was sound asleep on Blake's chest. May as well go to sleep too. She's not waking up anytime soon, Blake thought, and so Ruby and Blake fell asleep curled up together.

"Hey wake up love birds! It's almost time for breakfast," Yang said. Blake woke up slowly, but jumped awake when she noticed Ruby's face pressed into her breasts.

"Ruby. Wake up." Blake nudged her. Ruby stirred, mumbling a little. She leaned a little away from her pillow and opened her eyes, her cheeks blossoming red when she realized what she had been doing. She sat upright.

"Err. Sorry Blake."

"Its fine," Blake answered, cheeks also a little pink.

"About last night, we should hang out more often," Ruby said "Unless of course you don't want to," she continued in a rush.

"No, I do," Blake assured.

"I… uh was… just wondering if you uh…" Ruby trailed off. After a second of Blake waiting patiently Ruby darted forward and pressed her lips to Blake's before pulling away apologizing profusely.

"It's fine, if a little sudden and very pleasant." This brought Ruby up short.

"You… like me too, or just the kiss?" Blake snorted.

"You. To borrow Weiss' favorite saying: you dolt."

"Oh." Ruby was blushing heavily as she leaned forward slowly giving Blake time to pull away, but instead she leant forward and pressed their lips back together.

"You two are so cute," Yang announced startling them both.

Sorry if their relationship seems rushed, but I couldn't find a good way to drag it out.
