A small opening chapter to my first fanfic so please be gentle. Actually this is my first time writing something from myself, so I hope someone gets to enjoy it. I apologize in advance for any typing or grammar errors since English isn't my mother language
Any feedback would be appreciated.
This is something that has been on my mind for a months after the ending of Saiki's history.
This fic is rated T but will probably be changed. A new story about feelings and the power they have. Who knows, they may be even stronger than a psychic's power.
Winds of Change
The blonde scientist took a long look at the machine he created a few months ago, wondering...
'Is this really the only way?'. He remembered the talk with his brother and one pervert medium a few days ago.
He showed his creation to Kusuo not imagining that he would actually use it, his real intention was to show he had a way to stop his powers and beat him. He knew his brother always wanted to get rid off his powers but also that he didn't like to lose.
After his brother's aceptance, it felt like this machine in form of a turd was not the awnser to kusuo's problems, but just some cheap way to contorn things and settle for the easier and fastest road.
The scientist wasn't happy with the way things turned out, it felt... lacking... inconclusive... wrong...
Then an idea striked his powerfull brain and he smiled in a smug way.
"I guess this will also be interesting, for both of us, kusuo"
He starts to think in super speed trough all possibilites and a few minutes later, he came back to reality and finally moved to sit in his table.
As he turns his chair to look through the window, he crushes the turd (part of his brain refusing to crush a thing with a turd's format bare handed, but obeying anyway) and throws into the trash can next to his chair.
"This will be my present for you Kusuo, you will thank me someday, I'm sure of it."
The murderous face of his younger brother popped up inside his mind and he laughed.
"Maybe not so sure, ha ha ha ha"
The genius pressed the secretary button on his desk and spoke:
"Mark an appointment with the geology's professor, the minister and... oh, and also with the Reitor"
"Yes, sir" a voice responded.
After that he stared at his computer screem looking for the right programs. He notice the wallpaper of his computer and was sure of what to do.
His secretary knocked twice and entered the room with a few documents and aproached to delivery it to Dr. Kusuke. She then saw his gaze towards the screem and followed it to see what could put a smile on Dr. Kuusuke's face, who wasn't much a "smile person".
"You have a nice family Kuusuke-san, are those your brothers and sisters?"
He looked up to her and said in a strange way, almost like he was sad and happy at the same time:
"No, not mine" he said with a dismissive tone that she recognized as her cue to leave. She bowed and left the room.
He looked again at the boy in the center of the picture, surrounded by a group with an affected smile on his face.
That smile was the key to the scientist resolve as he started to open programs and documents.
'All right, time to do some thinking for my dearest brother's sake'.
He laughed in his maniac way.
At the same moment, miles away from London, a pink-haired boy felt a shiver run down his spine. He looked around and with a sigh stood up from the sofa where he was watching tv.
"What's wrong Kuu-chan?" asked his mother from the kitchen looking at his strange posture.
'yare yare, maybe Teruhashi is on her way here or one of the other noisemakers. seriously...' 'So much for my saturday rest' said the psychic as he removed his germanium ring to prepare for their arrival.
Little does he know that a big change was about to happen in his life, and those changes would show him how a normal life can sometimes be really, really exciting.
Somewhere a girl who was painting her nails humming a strange music felt uneasy, like a bad omen. She then stood up and walked to her table (where could be seen a lot of cristal balls, amulets, cards and itens somehow linked to luck and future reading) and took her cristal ball, that didn't actually looked cristal because it's superfice was covered with a lot of props. After sitting on the floor again she took a close look into the sphere.
"Awww I can't see much because of the props". 'Maybe I should take them off'.
Yes, she should.
"I'll just look between them"
Just take it off, please.
"Waasup with you Kusuooo, what's going on with ur future" she said to herself as she saw something that made her choke. For a few seconds she was speechless.
"No waaaay, is this for real?"
A nervous smile appeared on her face. The future she saw was not too solid, it had fog form, meaning it wasn't definitive yet, waiting for choises to be made that would rearrange it or let it follow the course. 'I can still change it' she thought.
The girl gave a little though about what she saw, biting her lip with a serious look on her face that didn't fit her caracter.
She knew that she was a part important in the future she saw, and for a moment she told herself: "Maybe I should ignore this, is not my job to mess with the future".
'But I really can't do that, even if I want to' she frowned. Then she confirmed inside her head and heart.
"I'm not letting something like this happen to the world, no waay~"
She smiled in a devilish way as she looked again at her cristal ball that showed the foggy images just minutes ago.
There was no more images, the fog was spinning, like a hurricane.
Her statement and will to participate into the near events changed the foggy future, leaving nothing concrete to see but a hurricane of possibilities. At the center of the spinning fog there was still something strange, but she couldn't see it...
Becase her props were in the way.
"That's more like it~" She smiled as she started painting her nails again.
A blue haired angel-like girl looked at the sky through the window of her room and let a little sigh escape her lips.
She looked at the street as a few plastic bags were being taken by the wind and suddenly tilted her head in curiosity as the trash started rotating and then going up, just like...
"Looks like a little hurricane". She giggle "Just kidding".
She walked slowly to her bed and laid with arms open looking at the ceiling without really seeing anything.
"I wish monday would come faster". Said the girl as she slightly blush and covered her face with her pillow:
"MOOOOOOOOH"
