I don't think this is so much a horror as...containing a lot of blood and liking it...Who really knows, huh? Rated M, just in case someone out there is super offended by blood.

DISCLAIMER: No, I don't own any of the Kingdom Hearts characters, places, or anything else. The only thing here that belongs to me is the plot...and the words...

There was lightening in her eyes, he saw. He trembled at that sight as he held out the only possession he had that was of any worth.

The jewels sparkled wonderfully from the necklace that was held out to her. Larxene took it, staring carefully at it and letting its reflections light her eyes before crushing the piece of jewelry to soft powder within her fist.

"Imitation," she said, almost disappointedly. She threw the dust back at the man who had handed it to her in a plea for his life.

"Please…" he begged, his forehead now to the ground in a crouching bow. She could see the watermarks in the sand where his tears fell. "Please," he repeated. "I have a family to care for!"

She merely grinned at him, pulling him to his feet by the collar of his shirt. His stared at her in horror as she raised her other hand, showing the glowing knife it held.

"No…" he sputtered out, teats falling faster than before. "Please…"

She dug the knife into his stomach, hard and mercilessly, twisting it as she dug into his torso. He let out a shriek, his legs giving way completely. She twisted the knife a bit further, letting warm blood spill quietly over her newly-cleaned gloves.

The man let out an unsatisfying sigh as his heart was taken, and she would have been compelled to anger had she been able to feel it. Instead, she mocked it, letting the heart drift for a moment in front of her before allowing it to continue on its way. It shone brighter than the imitation had, lighting her eyes brightly as she reveled in the glory of the kill.

"A little harsh today, aren't we?"

She turned to see Axel leaning against a crumbling wall to her left. He was watching the heart's ascent with mild fascination.

"He was begging for it, giving me that piece of shit imitation. I would have gone a little easier had it been real."

Axel shook his head as he lost sight of the heart, knowing that a real jewel would have made no difference in the man's fate. A smirk lit his face as he watched her remove her knife from the man, eyeing the blood on it carefully.

"Use a little more lightening next time, huh? It adds to the show."

He slipped quietly from the corner and on to the next alley, readying his chakrams for the guard he knew to be waiting there.

Larxene let the man crumple to the ground, his once-bright eyes open and unfocused. She bent down to meet the dead gaze, finding herself, as usual, in no way unnerved by the cold stare. Lightening flickered from her hand, lighting the eyes once more, and as the man's burning corpse lit up in front of her, she smiled with satisfaction.

And the lightening danced in her eyes.
