Yay I'm actually going to sequel "Orc's Light." So basically if you're new here go read my story "Orc's Light" first or this won't make a lot of sense. Before you ask, "Why is it so short?" Because this is some kind of prelude...oooo fancy...which I wrote because I was still in the process of deciding what I wanted to happen, as I still am. So if you have any suggestions by all means tell me. Not sure how quickly this will be updated as I used to write "Orc's Light" during Health and French at school and as it's Summer I never know how much time I'll have. Enjoy. Sorry about the shortness.
Hope, it's a funny thing you know, one minute it burns strong but with a singular action it can flicker out like a dying candle blown on by just a quarter too much wind, but without it where are we? We're damned that's where the piece would fall where it always falls, checkmate. And with hope comes the individual whom the peoples' hope is embedded in, a relationship knitted by thin strands of trust and power. But what if that figure betrays, falls prey to the lust the power had to offer? That's what had happed to Caine his own power had thrown him off the tower, sacrificing him to the savage life Howard knew the boy must be living. But that's just it what if there was a God, and what if this God had created the FAYZ for a similar reason? It could be like the stories of the flood, you know the ones he'd never payed attention do when forced to sit through those tiring services, or it could be that God had fallen to the lust of it all. Just like Howard had fallen for the lust of his best friend's lips, Orc's mouth, Charles Merriman's taste. Funny how one could be so philosophical when you're falling asleep, knowing that the world you live in is no longer what it used to be, what it may never be again. A sequel.
A Thanksgiving come and gone, no maternal adoration to be despised, a battle had taken place and a moment, a singular moment, where he thought he would lose everything. That small flame of hope had flickered the light he had become for Orc. Orc's light.
