Hypocrite
/ipɔkʁit/ (n.) a person who professes beliefs and opinions that he or she does not hold in order to conceal his or her real feelings or motives. See also, Natsume Hyuuga.
Disclaimer: I don't own Gakuen Alice.
This is my first story. It's a little bit crack, little bit random. But that's the way, uh huh uh huh, I like it.

There were three things that Natsume Hyuuga could never do.
The first was pole-dancing. On Ruka's sixteenth birthday, this was revealed to the world, wherein a Truth or Dare game turned from the bad, to the worse. He really shouldn't have picked 'dare' that night, but an unfortunate loss to peer pressure led him to take the impossible dare.
It was quite the painful sight. Knowing not of what to do, Natsume just hung himself on the pole, like a koala. Not one of the cute koalas, but the lazy ones that you would throw food at in a zoo.
The love of his life responded to this embarrassing sight by tossing a small cube of cheese at his face.
The second was music. Pretty self-explanatory.
It was confirmed on Valentine's Day, as he wished to warm the heart of his favorite brunette. Everyone claimed that music healed everything, and could get an angry girl to love you. Hearing this, he leapt before thinking, and decided to play her a nice tune on the piano.
She responded by laughing her head off.
The third, and possibly the most potentially-ego-degrading, was telling the truth.
He was genetically programmed to lie. Somehow, years after telling her his true feelings, he still felt uncomfortable spelling it out loud.
I love you, were just the three words to make him malfunction from within. It wasn't that he didn't want to say it, just that he always felt like he lived in a world where the true emotions could hurt him later on.
And maybe, in the deep dark corners of his mind, he didn't want Mikan to know that she won. That he thought of her daily, without even breaks. That he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her. He didn't want to sound cheesy.
'Natsume…. Do you love me?' Yes. That was his real answer.
But he actually responded by shrugging.
She rolled her eyes, and walked away. 'You told me that you loved me before.'
Caught unaware, he started becoming defensive, as a little teenage girl would when asked of her crush. 'No, I didn't.'
'Okay,' she coldly responded. She was upset; he could tell. She angrily took her things from under the Sakura tree, and stormed out.
He felt a little guilty, not realizing that lying would hurt her that much.
'Polka.' He called after her. She turned around slightly. 'I love you.'
She smiled. 'Enough to pole-dance for me, Mr. Koala? Or play the piano?'
His smile rotated a full 180 degrees. How dare she bring that up! 'You know what? Never mind. I don't love you.'
Roll of eyes as she stormed off, mumbling:
'…Hypocrite.'
He sat under the Sakura tree alone. He realized his three faults were really degrading his love life, and decided to get rid of them all, one by one.
Revelation came.
He needed to learn how to pole-dance.
Shit.
Love is tough.
This is my first story. :P I know it's weird, but I'd love to know what you think. :) If you do decide to post a review, please make it a random one. I love reading randomness.
