This is a poem about the first Telmarine to go through the door at the end of Prince Caspian. I wrote it for a poem contest at the lions call celebrating the one year count down to the Prince Caspian movie coming out.

The Open Doorway

Two sticks straight up and one tied across

A doorway from nowhere to nowhere

As it looms ever nearer I feel at a loss

It would be lying to say I don't fear

For standing there before the door

The Lion with the mane of gold

Who shakes the world with just His roar

The Great High King from legends old

Around it Narnian flags are unfurled

Trees sway beyond it's frame

Although it's a whole other world

It all looks quite the same

The door comes closer each step I take

Though I still feel much courage I lack

And I fear it may be a mistake

I've made up my mind there's no turning back

Then Aslan calls me forward

And I feel the Lion's breath

No more am I a coward

I don't fear not even death

I walk the final length

All eyes are on just me

I go with the Lion's strength

A whole new world I see
