"It's too late for him now. If Yukki isn't punished, he'll.."

"We now cleanse this spirit belonging to the Yato god and preserve the name with which it was graced."

"What?"

"With defilement expelled and avarice removed, a sincere, principled, just soul."

"With flesh pared, may he be cleansed."

And with that, the ablution had begun.

The shirtless male inside of the glowing bluish tinted triangle had screamed in pure agony, tears sliding down and staining his cheeks due to the pain that was being inflicted on him by Daikoku, Mayu, and Kazuma.

If there were anyone else that had understood the pain Yukine had been enduring, it would have to be Yato; for he had been screaming into the silent night of Japan right alongside with a small pool of his own blood right next to him since he had been spewing it out in between screaming and taking in small breath's of air.

"An ablution in this sense involves cutting flesh. This is a beating. One that uses Regalia Borderlines."

"A beating...?!"

"As former humans, only Regalias can judge the sins of other Regalias. And once an ablution begins, it can't be allowed to stop until it's over. Not until the Regalia has confessed and repented every last sin it bears."

"Yukine!" Daikoku had shouted while squinting slightly due to the bright light being cast from the triangle in front of him. "What evil have you committed?! Confess it all!"

"Shut up!" Yukine had shouted in return, his eyes no longer the loving amber tint Hiyori and Yato had come to adore, but yet a vibrant red. A red that represented nothing more but rage and an underlying hatred for the ones around him. "I'll kill you!" He had yowled at the very top of lungs, soon falling to his knees as demented and torn wings had sprouted from his back. "I'll kill all of you!"

It was as if they didn't understand him, they wouldn't believe a damn word that came out of his mouth. He had been telling the truth. He had done nothing wrong. He hadn't sinned. He had no reason to repent. He had no reason to beg for forgiveness.

"It's too much!" Yukine had cried out, soon glancing up at the trio that had been inflicting this pain on him. "What did I do to deserve this?! I didn't do anything wrong! I'm not the one to blame!"

"It's no use!" Mayu had shouted, her hand holding onto the arm in which she was using to help participate in this ablution, one of her eyes shut due to the intensity of the light. "We can't keep this up! He's not going to confess!"

"We'll have to slay him!" Kazuma had chimed in, obviously growing weary of unnaturally long this process was taking. "If his marking is enveloped, it's over; there's nothing more we can do for him!"

His name...

I need to... call his name...

...before it disappears...

There's a reason I fell for him at first sight!

Before he crosses to the other side...!

I need to... call his... name...!

"Live, Yukine!"

The blonde haired male covered in just as much blight as his owner tilted his head, the purple tinted patches soon spreading across his face and leaving vibrant colored eyeballs in it's wake as he observed the deteriorating state of the dying god.

"l-LiVE?" The shinki had questioned, his voice coming out distorted and unrecognizable. "I..I hAVe nOThInG! I hAVE nO rEaSOn tO LiVE!"

And without a single blink of an eye from anyone, they all watched in pure terror as Yukine transformed into a phantom form of a bat and as Yato had taken his very last breath.
