"Where's Yugi?" Marik asked idly, ploping down on the couch after passing out the last of their water bottles.

"Got to bed late, had to stay home and sleep," Yami replied casually. Marik noddded, not really caring. It was boys night in, the same day as girls night out. The boys would stay at the house of one of them, the host, and watch a video marathon. This night's video was the entire first sesean of "Lost" on DVD at Marik's.

Joey and Tristan took a swig of water in unison, blinked, and did it agian, in unison.

"This is realy good water Marik," Ryou said politely. Marik blinked.

"Huh?" Marik said smartly.

"Where'd ya get it?" Joey asked, draining the last of his bottle. Indeed, even sulking Bakura in the corner was polsihing off his.

"Why do I have to go down the creepy tunnel first?" Marik snapped darkly. Ishizu gave him a wistful smile, still holding open the entrance to the tomb they'd just discovered deep in the catacombs.

"Because you're the strong man," she said smoothly, snickering inside her head.

"And what about Odion?" Marik asked consumtiously, raising an eyebrow.

"He needs to protect me."

Marik sighed and rolled his eyes, knowinng perfectly well his sister needed anything BUT protection. "Go ahead Master Marik," Odion encouraged.

"Yeah, yeah, fine," Marik muttered, climbing down the creepy tunnel first.

He didn't stop walking through cobwebs and spiders till he reached the bottom and hit a wall. Ishizu held up a light and read the heiroglphys on the wall.

"Whosoever drinks from my well will gain power unfathomable."

"Well," Marik said suggetsively, "Guess I'll go first. Odion, you wait here with Ihizu." He ducked and started walking down the smaller passage but was stopped when Ishiuzu grabbed his ollar.

"Now now Marik, I'm coming with you. This is Egyptian spells we're talking about. Both of us know the power we're dealing with; it's not a joke," Ishizu lectured. Marik sighed and nodded.

"Yeah I guess," he muttered. Ishizu smiled.

"We have to take some back with us," she said playfully, dangling a few water bottles in front of Marik's face. Marik gave her a scrutinizing look. "For studying," she added quickly. Marik rolled his eyes.

"Yes, of course...," he said sarcatsically, continuing down.

The well, when they reached it, was maginificent. Made of marble, with intricate designs carved into the stone. The water was shockingly clear and cool. It looked and smelled sweet like sugar, and had an intresting way of swirling like a whirlpool in the center. And there was a sparkle to the liquid that was almost unnatural.

Ishizu dipped a total of six bottles into the water and filled them to the brim. Smiling to herself, she capped them, put them in a bag and pulled out a camera. She took a number of pictures of the area, then straightened herself.

"There. That should be plenty. Let's go," she said joyously. "This is a great discovery for us, Marik. Be proud."

"Shit," Marik breathed, looking at his own empty bottle.
