Just a quick little conversation between Kiba and his mother about his relationship with Hinata. Hinata/Kiba. Rated K and in 3rd person POV.

Miss You

"Stop that!" Tsume barked at her son.

Kiba looked up from his spot moping on the floor in confusion, "What?"

Tsume glared down at him, hands on her hips, "You have been moping around the house for days. Driving me crazy! Now, explain."

He sat up, scratching the back of his head as he looked around their living room. Anywhere but at his mother. Her eyes narrowed ominously and he gulped.

"Hinata left for a mission," Kiba muttered quietly, hoping she did not hear. The bark of laughter coming from the woman assured him that she had. Tsume was doubled over in laughter.

Clearing her throat, she stood up, "So you've been sulking because your girlfriend had work to do?" Kiba crossed his arms defiantly, a deep blush rushing his face, "You're pathetic."

"Humph," Kiba stuck his lip out in an attempt to pout, making his mother laugh again.

"I think it's sweet that he misses her," Kiba's sister said as she walked into the room.

"Thank you, Hana," Kiba grinned cheekily at his mother, resisting the urge to stick his tongue out at her.

"Fine, fine, it's sweet," Tsume waved her hand dismissively as she sat on the couch, "But it is kind of pathetic if she doesn't miss him as much as he misses her."

"Hinata misses me!" Kiba yelled, growling at his mother for insinuating such a thing. Tsume smirked to herself, proud of the reaction she had gotten.

Hana rolled her eyes at the bickering duo, "Be nice, mom."

Tsume scoffed, tilting her head up dramatically, "I am always nice." Both her children burst out laughing at that, Kiba rolling on the floor laughing. A knock at the door a few moments later brought Tsume's foot to Kiba's stomach, "Door."

Rubbing his stomach, Kiba grumbled as he got up. Glaring back at his amused mother with narrow eyes. He slide open the front door to reveal a smiling Hinata, dark hair blowing behind her in the wind.

"You're back!" Kiba cheered happily, grinning wide as he picked up the shy girl in his arms. He spun her around, earning giggles from the joyful beauty. "Did you miss me?" Kiba asked her, setting her down in the living room as he closed the door.

Hinata smiled softly, giving him a chaste kiss, "More than you missed me." Kiba gave a soft blush, scratching the back of his head nervously as his mother and sister laughed in the background. Hinata never did find out what was so funny.
