The feeling was strange and unfamiliar, was it the feeling of wanting to stay? The feeling of nostalgia? No. She was quite sure this wasn't the case, after all they've been through so many islands, and so what makes this different? Maybe it was the deep feeling in her chest. It was painful at the same time warm and sweet. What was this feeling she wondered, maybe there was something missing but what could it be?
Gazing up the beautiful azure blue sky with the sight of clouds gently passing through the sun's rays, but this wasn't enough to protect her from the sun's warm touch. She used her left hand to block the blinding light, but this made her realize that it was almost time, time for her crew to depart. Yet she still hasn't realized this strange atmosphere, this awkward feeling that made her somewhat tense. She tried to feel the beat of her heart, it was beating normally, yet it felt tense. What was this? This was definitely a first for the orange haired navigator.
"Nami! Oi! Let's set sail!" shouted the raven haired captain waiting for his navigator to get on Sunny Go.
Nami smiled, her cheeks felt warm matching with her gentle smile. Was this due to hearing Luffy's voice? She didn't know at all, but she was definitely happy about something.
"Right!" she replied to her captain and ran towards the ship, but before she could even do that, a hand stretched out in front of her as if it was asking her to hold on to it. She knew exactly who owned this hand, and there was only one man who can stretch his arm this far. She looked at the source and saw the most idiotic smile ever, yet it was the best all at the same time.
Nami took hold of this man's hand, and held it tightly making sure not to let go. Luffy pulled her towards him, and once he got a hold of her, he made sure she landed safely into his arms unharmed. He looked at his navigator cling on to him, and he just continued to give his bright smile. The navigator was definitely unable to move and was unsure if she should let go, or to be more precise, she didn't want to let go at all. Though she had known how strange it will look to all her fellow crewmates, so she slowly backed away from Luffy and looked straight at her captain. This made her heart beat faster, and her cheeks warmer.
Luffy turned away from Nami, and walked towards his crewmates. He raised both of his arms up high and inhaled a huge amount of air.
"LET'S SET SAIL!"
Everyone in the crew responded with a gleeful cheer, everyone but Nami. She was definitely unsure about how she was feeling, most especially when she's around that idiotic captain of hers. As much as she wanted to ask Chopper, she couldn't. It just sounded stupid to her, what she was feeling that is.
"Nami, where to?" Her captain asked without her knowing that he was just a feet apart from her now. She was at loss to what to respond at first, but then looking at her own captain's face right now, it made her feel calmer all of a sudden. True she was tense just a while ago, but knowing that he was there for her, and she was there to support him reassured her that everything was going to turn out fine.
She then gave her best smile at Luffy and tried to lift her voice and shouted to the entire crew, "Alright everyone! Ready the sails!"
She looked at her captain, and realized that he himself was a bit red, but he just hid it with his usual stupid smile.
