Life sucks. That was the only thing you could come up with. You've been in the office for three hours now and you still hadn't done anything. You are sitting in your office, door closed and locked. You should be looking through files of dead bodies in creepy places but the only thing you could come up with was that life sucked.
Yesterday was one of the best days of your life and today might be the worst. Yesterday you thought you just had a little girl-crush on your college and today you knew you where in love with her. Why is that bad? Well, you don't know. It just doesn't feel right. Like you're betraying her because she doesn't know. Not that you are ever gonna tell her, you just have to get over her.. someday.
Yesterday she told the team about her new boyfriend and how happy she was with him, she said he was the love of her life. The only thing you could do was stand there and put a fake smile on your face. You felt lost and betrayed. After that you went straight home and you took a long, hot shower. You didn't know why you felt that way but you couldn't help it. It was the worst thing you had ever felt in your whole life and you never wanted to feel it again. You couldn't sleep that night, you could only think about why you felt the way you did. And the only thing you could come up with was love. So that's how you know. Cause the only thing that could hurt this much is love, right? Today is gonna be the worst day of your life, because you knew it could only get better. But it didn't.
There is a knock and you walk to the door to unlock it. As you open the door you see her smile at you.
"Hey JJ, Can I come in?" Emily asks smiling at you. She is so beautiful. You think, but you know you can't think like that anymore.
"Yeah, ofcours Em, what do you need?" You say faking a smile in return.
"Well, I wanted to ask you if you wanted to go out with the team tonight so you can all meet Nathan." Ugh I hate that name. Why the hell would you go?! So you lie.
"Well, uhm… I'm sorry Emily, I really am, but I have a date tonight." What?!! A date, You never go on a date, she's never going to believe that! You feel guilty when you see her face fall but you really don't wanna meet Nathan.
"Oh, I see… So who's the lucky girl? Do I know her?" She asks with that georgeous smile again. You still can't believe you told the whole team that you are gay, but they all seemed to be okay with it.
"No, I just met her last week" You are such a bad liar.
"Okay, well good luck then. See ya Jayj." She turns around to leave before you say
"Have fun tonight." And with that you shut the door. That was one of the reasons why life sucked.
